plastic
The good: this is just the thing to hold a small miter in place while you set a nail or let your glue dryThe bad:the picture of this item was a bit deceiving. what appeared to be cast metal turns out to be common plastic, the only metal components being the silver pins. this is a tool for a hobby builder, I'm certain it won't last long in my shop. Oh well, back to nursing my irreplacable alligator tooth clamps from eons past.

Does what it says.
Seems to be built a bit light, but it does the job. Unique design. Use as directed. Used it for window trimming. Sould be fine for picture frames as well.

Save your money
Corner joints are the most difficult of all joints to pit together. You need to clamp the joints until the glue sets. I bought this for a small picture frame I needed to assemble. Tried for twenty minutes to get a grip. Ended up tearing up the sides where the steel point are supposed to go. Ended up tossing it and using my heavy duty corner clamps.

miter clips
The clips were not what I expected. They are good for making picture frames.I wanted them for construction of return corners on mouldings. The are to big for small fine tuned work.

The clamp is not very powerful!

Handy quick clamp
Used this to build some mirror frames (essentially large picture frames). Worked great for holding the miters together while I shot them with a brad nailer. Once you have the miter clamped, you can pivot the clip up and out of the way, making it easy to use the nailer.

This clamp is nearly useless. There does not seem to be any way to get a secure grip on a miter joint. In addition, it will absolutely not work on a small item. Save your money. There are excellent, less sophisticated, less costly, spring clamps on the market.
