Oxford University Press Stone Paper Notebook, Blue, 9 inches X 11 inches

The binding is awkward. It doesn’t open all the way or correctly. It’s an annoying design flaw imo. A simple spiral would make this perfect. The paper - the most important part - is great though.

I have gotten the smaller notebooks and they are so nice to write in. I have gifted these to people and everyone comments how nice the super smooth paper is.

The spiral bindings fell out after opening and closing a few times, and easily get bent out of shape. The paper is nice but soft so you can easily poke your pen through it if you're an aggressive writer. Will not be buying again, as for me this product is barely usable.

These notebooks are perfect in my opinion. First of all, the paper is amazing. The writing is so smooth and controlled compared to any other paper. And the Rings are not huge and they don't get in the way whenever you have to put them in your bookbag or something. I can't think of any other notebook that surpasses this one.

I gave this rating a "1" because Oxford changed the design of the notebook from Great to Really Bad. Here's why:Previous Design: The spine used to be entirely spiral bound and the front and back cover were not connected like a folder. It was easy to flip pages and lasted a long time.New Design: There is a 1 inch spiral at the top and one at the bottom of the spine. Not very sturdy. The front and back cover are basically a sheet of plastic folded in half. This causes the pages to get caught as you try to flip the pages. You have to be very deliberate to turn a page.I wouldn't be complaining except that Oxford changed their product from a good design to a bad one. I'm sure the new design is more cost effective to manufacture, but the end result is a degradation of the product.I'm switching to the notebook made by Onyx and Green
