Good book if you are a liberal
I needed the book for a class. As a conservative adult learner in my late 40's, there were areas I felt were very biased and had a strong liberal opinion. There were areas I just couldn't read because it made me very annoyed with the opinions of the authors. I would not read this book by choice, it only confirms that Gen Z is going to be very problematic within the next few years.

Tons of information with sourcing
I bought this book to use for my thesis. It has lots of well organized information and statistics. Most important for me is the end note sourcing- 50-100 per chapter. Excellent resource.

A comprehensive compendium on Generation Z
I would like to thank the authors for producing a comprehensive review of the available literature on Generation Z. One thing I think is important to understand about this book is it is not original research completed by the authors but a very comprehensive review of reports and research done by scholars, marketing organizations, and other independent research organizations. Some of the works cited are from peer-reviewed sources but many sources have not undergone the type of scrutiny some readers may be expecting in this text. With this said, the text is wonderfully written, covers significant topics across the spectrum of personal and social behavior relevant to educators, scholars, employers, and others interested in an analysis of this generation of emerging adults. Another important contribution is the care taken including descriptions of past generations, their collective behaviors, and spot-on explanations of the virtues and cautions regarding the comparative study of individuals across multiple generational cohorts. If there is one thing I would have liked to see included in the text is a connection to contemporary scholarship on the life-stage of emerging adulthood advocated by Jeffery Arnett and other scholars in the field of development science. True confessions, I have a background in developmental psychology with a specialization in adolescence and emerging adulthood. Merging their well-done review of the literature with current scholarship on the field of emerging adulthood would have made their impressive text even more powerful!

A great read for anyone, not just Higher Ed professionals!
I thought this was a very well-written book! As a higher education professional, it gave me a lot of insight into the generation of students that I’m currently, and will continue to work with, for the next several years. I loved the historical context that allows you to get a sense of where this generation fits in with their predecessors. It was very interesting to read about their similarities and differences with previous generations. I thought it was thoughtfully broken down into different, digestable chapters that will make it very easy to reference when needed. I don’t think it’s a book you need to read cover to cover to gain some knowledge or insight from it. Though it is a well-researched book, it does not read like a textbook, which makes it a great resource for professionals, but also a great read for anyone who may be curious to learn more about Generation Z. This is a book that will live on my shelf for years to come, but is definitely one I will refer to regularly for support in navigating support structures for the students I serve. I appreciate Corey and Meghan’s continued efforts to help us understand this generation, and look forward to future research they conduct surrounding Generation Z!

Great read on Gen Z insights
As a member of the Higher Ed community, I found this book to include a lot of great information that my colleagues and I can use as we assist in developing recruiting materials for our admissions office. The information is very helpful, but I also appreciated all of the notations that were included so that we could go and learn more information about specific trends. The chapters on Education, Learning and Career Aspirations were of particular interest to me. All in all, I found this to be a well-written and thorough guide to Generation Z.

Incredible Book!
I was born in 1995, so I’m one of the oldest members of Generation Z. This book really resonated with me as I easily identified and related with a lot of topics they wrote about in their book. This is a definitely a better book than the first Gen-Z book they came out with back in 2016, as this goes into more detail about the past and current generations and events. At end of the day, this book is a must have for people who are greatly interested in my generation. You won’t be disappointed.

Helpful Introduction to Generation Z
Generation Z provided a helpful introduction to understanding Gen Z's characteristics, values and motivations from a US perspective. I work in the education tech industry and it is critical we know our users in order to provide engaging and motivational learning experiences. The book's sections on Gen Z's preferences and behaviors towards technology, communication, buying habits, education, and learning provided me with insights into how we can better shape our user experience for learners. In addition, I found it helpful to understand the makeup of previous generations as those are the educators who are shaping Generation Z and Alpha. If you want to "know your audience" (assuming Gen Z is part of it), I recommend reading this book to guide your understanding.

Extremely rich with information
This is an extremely dense book which - while occasionally rough around the edges - has a lot to offer, especially for educators working with Gen Z. Its scope is massive and its information well-sourced.
