Works well enough.
I had no issue installing these on my desk when my keyboard runners fell apart the other day. I bought and installed these replacements, but they are not very smooth, they don't slide very well. I have to slowly push from both sides evenly , otherwise they get stuck which is really annoying. I am going to put a little grease on the ball bearings, because it didn't seem like they are greased up very well; maybe that will help a bit more. *** Update** I bought a little tube of bearing grease from amazon and greased up the ball bearings (most of them weren't even turning, they were just sliding back and forth) now my keyboard tray works a LOT better. These are worth the price I'd say, but get some bearing grease, and make sure sure that it is squarel

The brackets are flimsy..
The silders seem heavy gauge steel, about 2.0 mm, while the brackets are 1.0 mm. This causes the rear brackets to move a little, every time the keyboard tray is opened/closed. Otherwise, the keyboard slides work as they should. Only time will tell how long they will last and/or how often the rear brackets require readjustment. If you have plenty of room, or you can turn the desk upside down, the installation isn't bad. If you don't, you'll take extended time to install it. In my case, the desk didn't have much room, the keyboard tray needed to be dropped lower than the bracket allowed and as such, used a 1" plywood base where installed the key board and then mounted it under the desk. This made it easier to install it.The attached image compares the old bracket to the new one, the difference is substancial.

4 stars but probably my fault.
I believe this product is 5 star worthy but I tried to use it with a piece of wood that rather very long for under a desk.

Not a full extension
No problem with seller, I received both sets of drawer slides ahead of schedule. The drawer slides are as advertised, width is what I needed for my project. Big box stores did not offer 1-inch width drawer slides but Amazon came through for me!Negative: There is no clarification on the website as to the length of extension on the slides, I am returning both sets. I was hoping for a full extension but the extension on both sets is only 3/4 length. Also, neither set of slides, 16 or 18-inch, had installation instructions.

Brackets seem flimsey
Full disclosure, I've only had this installed for about 10 minutes now. So far, they work and seem to be a significant improvement to the clamp option.I had been using a keyboard tray that clamped onto the desk. After years of that swimming and shifting each time the tray was pulled out or pushed in, I finally decided that (with a wooden desk) I should invest in something more permanent. I settled on the 12-inch length because that is how long my keyboard tray is. I also settled on these because I could easily retrofit my current keyboard tray to use these. After installation, however, I feel I should have gone with a longer set in the hopes of more fully hiding the keyboard tray under the desk. To get a sufficient extension, I determined (by eyeballing it) that the tray will have to stick out from under the desk by about .5-1 inches. Not appealing, but better for when typing though I have no real proof whether longer brackets would have solved this issue or not.How much room you have under the desk will likely determine how easy these are to install. That and the weight of your keyboard tray... Admittedly my tray is quite a bit heavier than probably necessary (bamboo board). So it's reasonably easy to put together, but I struggled because of the weight of the tray and the space available under the desk to attach these. The sliding mechanism seems functional enough. Feels fluid and locks in the in or out position sufficiently. I'm not going to assume that I got the brackets attached to the underside of my desk in perfect alignment, but so far, there doesn't seem to be too much play once all 8 screws are in place. And I don't imagine there are many solutions for avoiding this other than perhaps thicker brackets (honestly, the arm brackets attached to the desk's underside are quite thin).

Works as expected
- These are nice compared to the ones they replaced.- They feel much more sturdy- A bit of struggle to install but that's more due to the desk setup than these rails- Overall satisfied

Great Upgrade
The original keyboard shelf guides on my desk were rather flimsy and needed to be upgraded. These brackets are a great solution. Installation guide could use a little more detail as to spacing, but I figured it out. Feels like these guides are the upgrade replacement I was looking for.

Not super solid but does the job
I'm using this with a 1.2m wide shelf for my 61 note MIDI controller keyboard - it works for this purpose, but it's slightly shonky. At this width, you need to pull on both sides at the same time or there's a danger one side gets left behind and starts to drag/rotate-in-situ. This doesn't bother me, but if you like things done properly you should try and find something more robust! The supplied screws for attaching the brackets to the underside of my desk were no use going in to oak - they'd probably be fine on softer woods/materials, but I had to source my own.

Grosse Platzersparnis
Teile kamen pünktlich, gut verpacktund unbeschädigt an.
