A wide edge on one side of the bowl allows you to properly grip and steady the bowl when beating, and a pouring lip on the other side makes it easy to pour the batter into cake pans. This is NOT a Rosti brand bowl. It is marked "Hutzler" and "Made in Thailand." It should not be marketed as a Rosti brand bowl, because it clearly is not. Although it appears to be of good quality, there is no telling how long it will last. I am retiring a set of Rosti bowls that I have had for almost 25 years. I'll be returning this off-brand bowl and finding a true Rosti bowl instead.

perfect sturdy bowl
needed a bowl narrow and deep enough for whipping cream. this is perfect and I've used it for many other tasks as well.
