a very good book
It adresses the main concerns directly and has a humble no non sense aproach which is very helpful and not preachy or “tonto grave” as we say in spanish.

Lovely book, easy to read and educational
From A to Z. What to do and what not. I learned a lot. And the reference opened so many avenues. I have about 4 more interesting books to read.

I loved it! A very fun read!
This book is so easy to read because it's informative in a way that can relate to any reader with an interest in Psychedelic Mushrooms. The author uses a lot of research to explain the history of these medicines in an easy to understand way. She shares personal experiences and lots of best practices for taking a true healing spiritual journey. She identifies key notes for harm reduction and safe practices. There is also a long list of avenues for further research if you'd like to learn more about these amazing little fungi. This truly is a companion guide and any person interested in learning the ways of the mushroom should give this a read. It literally was the first book I had read in about 10 years and it inspired me to get back into reading again. There's a wealth of knowledge in here but it's all laid out in an easy to read and personal and informative way. Reading it made me feel like a kid again just learning about something new. I finished reading it in about 3 days which was a new record for me. It's short and sweet and packed full of useful stuff that's easy to remember and search back through for reference in the future. I loved it!

Helpful little guide
This is a quick and practical read—I got through it in a sitting. There are lots of tips around setting and preparation, dosage, integration, managing bad trips. Stuff like that. The author writes with a refreshing lightness and candor. I’ve read a lot of psychedelic books over the past year and I found this one very easy to digest. The author skims over the mystical and scientific themes that dominate a lot of the current literature. This instead is just a practical, helpful guide.Mush love.

This book made me happy
I am an experienced user of psilocybin, but it has been some months. Nothing came to me as a shock, but I read and examined it as intended, for the curious traveler with questions. The value for me was to see this narrative in a single voice as a compendium. If one is still interested after reading her volume, she recommends that your research carry on.Another value I experienced is that it is a wonderful guide to introduce Holding Space for another or others. Again, one would continue their education elsewhere, but so much background applies to the practice of holding space. And this finds application outside of the psilocybin experience.Holding space for others is my new focus. And the number one tools, as she mentions, is self-love, grounding yourself, eliminating judgment, being a non-directive presence they can count on.She says it all better without getting high-minded. I appreciated her voice, one I encountered first in an online article. I’ll just say that I bought this book in appreciation of that article and I find it worth it’s value on it’s own. So I still owe Michelle Janikian a GIANT THANK YOU!

Wonderful writing, easy to read
A deeper look at how to properly use mushrooms (yet much applies to psychedelics in general). She writes wonderfully. Book design is top notch in organization, typography, materials (how book feels in hand).

Great guide for beginners
I bought this as I facilitate workshops educating others about psilocybin use. I read it within a couple of days and find it to be the best detailed guide for those new to psilocybin out there. I plan on recommending it to those with little to no experience as a great resource for preparation and dosing information.Only thing I'd criticize about it is that the back cover refers to "plant medicine," and fungi are its' own kingdom :)
