Works Great
This was easy to put together and use. It really pumps nicely. It isn't too loud considering the work it is doing. The only thing I wish was different is I wish it came with a little longer tubing. The tubing it comes with is only a few inches long. It would have been nice if it were double the size it is so be prepared to have other tubing on hand because the one sent with it is not long enough to even reach into the water of a full bucket let alone a 3/4 full one which you need because you need head space for the bubbles....it'll bubble out quickly.

3566 GPH runs 32 sponge filters with ease.
The media could not be loaded. I got the 3566 GPH commercial unit. It runs 32 small sponge filters with plenty of air to spare (see video). You could probably run 50 small sponge filters off this one pump. I hooked it up in my basement rafters directly below my tanks with a piece of plywood and ran an air hose through the floor. Don’t have to look at it and it quiets it down. It’s loud but all pumps this size are loud. I don’t have a dB meter but it’s similar to the noise of a window AC unit. Other reviews have said this unit runs hot but they must have the smaller pumps. I have a very small fan (about 6”) running on it and it stays very cool as in a small child could hold it for hours. I can not speak to the longevity as I have only had this unit hooked up for a week but it appears very solidly built. If it does happen to need a rebuild, it’s in the instruction manual how to do so and very easy. The only improvements I would make on this product would be having an adjustable output of air so I could turn the flow down (thus quieter) (It always runs full blast) and make it quieter. given the output I consider the noise reasonable. For the price you can’t beat it.

Excellent value, kinda noisy, pumps lots of air
This air pump replaced a more expensive diaphragm pump that only made a thin veil of bubbles from 4 2" airstones in my koi pond. The EcoPlus makes a huge difference, vigorous bubbling in a diameter of about a foot, lifts an impressive column of water from the pond's bottom. This is a 1000+ gallon pond where the goal is to have 7+ ppm on a Milwaukee dissolved oxygen meter. Left alone with only the filter's 600 gpm, in hot weather the pond sits at 5 ppm and the fish are stressed. Each of two 1000 gpm water pumps flooming the surface adds about 1 ppm, as does this pump, so now the pond is usually about 8 ppm and the fish are very happy. The pump comes with a little manifold to attach 8 airstones and I'm using 4 2" stones from United Aquatics, have ordered more stones and tubing and will see what it does.If quietness is one of your criteria you might want to keep looking. It is noisy relative to the old diaphragm pump which was loud. If using it inside the pump might need to sit in the basement with a long hose to the aquarium. In our application, it sits under a heavy fiberglass faux rock that dampens the noise some, and sitting on a foam cushion the size of the fake rock's underside helps reduce noise to tolerable levels. Most of the noise seems to come from the air intake, so putting a hose on the intake might muffle it some. Also, this 80W pump might be more than we need so one of the smaller models might be enough.

Two issues
The product is very powerful, it works very, very, well. There are two issues, one it runs so hot the metal air hose distributor with all of the rubber hoses attached to it gets so hot you can burn your hand. Not the unit itself, the metal splitter that attaches with the hose. The second issue is that the hose needs to be clamped to the unit and to the metal distributor/splitter, otherwise the air blast is so strong it just keeps coming off at the splitter end. I bought plumbing clamps at the local hardware store and now having attached them the hose does not come off. I guess the final issue is that it is not waterproof. I have it outdoors for a 750 gallon fish pond (It is way to much pump for this size pond, but that is what I wanted) and I have to put something over it to keep the rain off but not completely over it because it runs so hot. I actually have the splitter up off the ground on a metal flowerpot turned sideways because I am concerned about vegetation catching fire. I am going to get a cement paver to put everything on so that won't be an issue. I definitely like the pump, it seems very well made and is a beast pushing out air, you just have to know a couple of things before you buy it.

serviceable, and surprisingly quiet compared to the 1750 gph model
I obtained this to replace a 1750 and 960 in my pond. the 960 was the loudest surprisingly, 1750 was the runner up, and this pump has been by far the quietest. These eco pump diaphragms are thin so I have gotten in the habit of replacing it the second it arrives with some EPDM that is a bit thicker, and I change the diaphragm on a schedule. It is quick to change out, about 5 minutes once you are practiced at it. I change out every 3, but I don't normally see excessive wear until the 5-6 month mark. So is it loud? 59 db @ 59hz with the lid closed on my pump box, the 1750 was 69 db @59 hz, and the 960 was 75 db @ 59 hz. I highly recommend this product for pond keepers.

Lots of power but full of hot air.
I purchased 2 Ecoplus 1300 GPH for my DWC system. I thought it was a great pump. Loud and they get real hot, but lots of air. If you don't mind the noise and if hot air is what you need it seems to do the job well. After three weeks one started to get louder and louder. Not just the normal pulsing sound of the pump or the vibration of the floor(even with a 6 inch foam pad)but also a metal grinding sound. I asked for a replacement and one was sent very fast. I was happy with their quick response. Hate having issues with returns. So I hook it up and it sounds louder then the one I'm sending back. I sent a message to get it replaced but they won't. I was issued a refund. Now the only one I have left is making a similar sound. I have asked for a complete refund. This may just be an personal aversion to noise. I would give more stars but customer service is cold and the product is annoying. The biggest negative is I wanted more oxygen for my plants but this heats the air up so much the water is too warm to absorb much. I have spent the last 4 weeks using the hillbilly way (frozen water bottles) of keeping the water under 70 degrees. It's a losing battle and it's still winter here. What would it be like when the summer temps come?

Equipo potente aunque un poco ruidoso.
Es un buen equipo, compacto, de gran capacidad aunque un poco ruidoso. Es entendible por la gran capacidad de salida. Muy buen producto.

Satisfied thus far.
I've had this pump running two large air stones and ten small ones in a hydroponic system and it provides air to spare! While it isn't 'whisper' quiet one must remember that is moves a lot of air. I wouldn't want it in a bedroom, office or living room. But if one had it in a cupboard it would be fine. Mine is in my basement, directly under the hydroponics room and I can't hear the pump over the bubbling sound of the air stones.I've seen some reviews of this pump design indicating that it runs too hot to touch! Unfortunately the reviewers didn't indicate whether they had the pump in a small enclosure, which wouldn't allow for heat dissipation, or whether they have a high resistance bubbling device that causes high back pressure and thus makes the pump work harder. Mine is on continuously and it runs just warm to the touch.Given my experience thus far, I have no reservations recommending the pump!

Very excellent pump. If you keep it running cool (I have a small fan blowing on it to help dissipate heat through the heat sink), it is not any louder when enclosed in a cabinet or fish room, than the large Fluval pumps are.For the massive power this provides, and the ability to be easily serviced and maintained, this is worth every penny.

Precio y calidad incomparables.
