Fresh and clean shoes
This shoe deodorizer works wonders on my sneakers. After just a few uses, my shoes smell fresh and feel dry. The convenience of the timer settings is a plus. It’s slightly bulky, but the results are worth it. A good solution for keeping footwear hygienic.

Works great for athletes foot and stops reinfection
Works great, kept getting reinfected from shoes after using lamisil once (which worked great as aspot treatment). Treated all my shoes with this light, no more reinfection. Does what it was made to do and does it well. Used the 30min setting.Initially I was skeptical but was impressed it can treat such a persistent bug that I used it on the family’s shoes (smelly teenager shoes too!). Flip flops (sandwich the bulb between 2 pairs of them at a time and put it in a black cloth bag).Only suggestion would be a safety feature so it doesn’t turn on unless in shoes but at this price can’t really complain, just follow the instructions and be sensible unless you are a fly. Well packaged, quality is good, instructions in clear format.

Surprise! They actually work well.
I had never heard of these devices before so I have tried the device in a pair of work boots and my old shoes used for gardening - and I was surprised to see that they made a difference in just 30 minutes in both pairs. I did a "sniff" test before and after as I have no jelly and petrie dishes to do a scientific test. Both pairs smelled fresher after the 30 minutes 'cleaning' for each pair; they smelt like a cross between a weak fabric softener and what I think of as "ozone". Cannot tell if the bacteria are dead or just masked - I think dead as a day later both pairs still smell fresh. They certainly worked in shoes, so I am going to try them elsewhere as the box says can use in a box for other things or in the bottom of a wardrobe.

Slightly terrifying
So. I don’t have smelly shoes. Neither does my husband. Except now we’ve started using the treadmill a little more, our trainers are, shall we say, smell-adjacent.When I saw this UV shoe deodoriser, looking like a hybrid between a Christmas tree light and an aggressive love toy, I thought “why not?”It arrived, and the red flags started flying immediately. The box looks cheap and shoddy. The instructions are Google translated and badly spelled. And there’s warnings to ensure that you block any gaps or openings with socks lest the evil and destructive light seep out and cause havoc.I popped this product on with a palpable sense of unease, and switched them off pretty quickly. The kit does not inspire confidence. And frankly, I’d rather have a smelly shoe than a possible catastrophe.

Didn't expect it to work but it did!
Got this through the Vine scheme, it's the kind of product I sometimes select because I wonder if it's true. In this case it was! A row of much less smelly slippers bears testimony to that. In the photos you can see them inside and pulled out a bit, from my quite old, very smelly slippers. At the time that this picture was taken they had been through the washing machine, but that hadn't really got rid of the smell.Using these lamps did, although in the end I gave the slippers two blasts of the sanitizers to throughly purge them.Use is slimple. Plug the adaptor in, unravel the cords, place the two lights inside the shoes as far as they will go. Choose between 15 or 30 mins, press go. That's it. After about 4-5 minuites there's an unusual smell coming from them which I think is the ozone smell. It's not strong, but itis there. When the lights go out, see if the smell has gone (if it had one) pack lights away.Simple, easy, recommended.

Fire hazard
I used these in my shoes. Smelt burning, the bulbs were extremely hot- i don’t think they’re a safe device.

Decent, but not a one stop shop to fix
This appears to do the job, but is better for keeping new shoes good rather than recovering bad shoes! The controller is easy to use and allows you to select 15 or 30 mins of use which auto shuts off after the time. There is a strong scent of ozone when in use, as described in the description, but this is part of the sanitisation process.I can't say it's the best thing ever, but it's a help!

Enttäuscht 😞
One of the bulbs was not working when it arrived. So I tried using the device despite this. Then the one that was working melted the inside of my shoe!!
