This bowl is meant to be a dispenser of candies that starts conversations and invites further discussion. The overall shape has a curiosity to it and can be interpreted in any number of ways. Some people have said it reminds them of deer antlers and others of candy dipped pretzels. The Lava Flow Candy Bowl was designed using a modeling technique called subdivision surfaces. In this process, a course hard edged model is constructed out of basic flat polygons. After the shape is constructed, a process of smoothing (or subdividing) takes the boxy forms and softens them into the final organic curves. Holds about 30 pieces of wrapped candy.
