This book was shipped fast. In great new condition and we are happy with book. But it doesn’t have reference to being 50th anniversary edition. We would buy from this seller again. I bought this book as a birthday gift for my husband so he could read to our Grandchildren. This was his favorite childhood book!

I never knew about this book as a child, but as a mother of two preschool aged daughters who love my old Berenstein books, I was on a “hunt” to find more of them. This story is delightful and timeless, as Papa bear tries to show little bear where their food comes from, but not without their share of challenges. The text is clear, the words match the action on the page, and the words rhyme in such a way that it makes the story fun to read. Two thumbs up!

I have this book, The Big Honey Hunt, from when I was a kid. I found it recently in a box of books from when my older sister and I were growing up. Needless to say, it has seen better days (the cover just fell off). I started to read it to my 22 month old son a few months ago and he loves it! We'll read it night after night to the point I want to hide the book so we can read something else. My husband and I both know it almost word for word. I realized that I needed to find another copy of it before it fell apart in our hands. I was really surprised that they still had the book in print. Now my son can read this book for a long time and pass it on to his new baby brother.

We ordered this for our kids because I remember it being one of my favorites when I was a kid. When it finally arrived, I was surprised it wasn't as much fun to read as I had remembered. But, my reaction to the book didn't matter. Our five-year old continues to select this one as his favorite, night after night. Clearly my son would like to give this book his five stars. And since he is the intended audience, I believe my opinion is moot. Great book. Go for it.We also love the Bears Picnic, and Bears Vacation - two classics that even I highly recommend! : )

well written kids book

You can never go wrong with one of these bear books. Kids love them and so do adults. Good stories and the pictures are delightful.

A fun book to read to my son, & happy reminder of my childhood reading days

I read this with my 3 year old for the first time. He being a fan of The Bike Lesson and Bears on Wheels, was instantly in love with this one too. Cute classic story about a silly Daddy and his idolizing son!
