Great bumper! Easy install with CJ adapter brackets with minor modification to make bolts line up. Jeep had been in an accident and don't think front frame rails were adequately squared up, but we made it work. Easy install of winch and light bar. Drilled holes for quads with no issue. Well worth the money.

This bumper went on in about a half hour, nothing like the matching rear bumper. That included removing my stock YJ bumper. I've got a winch mounted to it and it looks really good. Super sturdy and would definitely recommend.

When buying I hadn’t seen an YJ pics and wanted to add a couple to help potential buyers. I would say this was a pretty easy install. I bought color matching shackles to attach since unfortunately the bumper did not include any. But most likely I would have anyway for the look. The only hurdles I ran into during installation was not having the correct torx star bits to remove my old bumper (55 torx bit) and having a lower included bolt not thread completely, but both of these issues were on my end, not the fault of the bumper. After sweating my butt off trying multiple times to install the last bolt I ended up just using the old bolt from the previous bumper. Bought some bed liner paint to address another issue and will just paint it. So the packaging ended up having a couple holes in it (shipped during Christmas of course) and the sharp edges of the bumper had the paint grinded off. So I bought bed liner paint to touch up the edges. Overall very happy with this bumper. Has holes to mount a winch and additional lights. So it’s set for future projects. I would echo another review in saying that if you intend to mount a winch on it you may consider buying both together if you can swing it. Reason being that the bumper mount on the YJ has a bar running across it, aligning on the back bolt bumper mount and you won’t be able to get the winch bolt through due to the bar. One video I watched the guy used a Dremel grinding tool to widen the hole, but he mentioned he’d have to use bed liner paint to avoid future rust if using that strategy.

Really like the bumper. Holds up good. Heavy duty. Had to use the adapters to fit the CJ5. Winch mounted up no problem. Looks great

I was told the bumper would fit my '86 CJ7. It does NOT fit. The mounting holes are way off. I painted the bumper and mounted my winch only to find it doesn't fit. Amazon says it fits but I went to the Smittybilt after discovering it doesn't fit and the Smittybilt website says it does not fit. So I'm out around $500.

I had to do some modification because of other accessories and after I did those I found out the bolt holes did not line up. I could not drill the holes where they needed to be because of obstructions so I had to use a die grinder to make new holes and slot existing holes. The product was labeled to be correct but the holes were located for a different model. This made a two hour installation actually a three day installation.

I like the bumper but the bolts that came with it were cheap metric bolts and they didn't even send nuts with the bolts. I had to go to Lowes and buy some nice grade 8 ones for it. Also for CJ owners if you use the adapter brackets with the stock holes in the frame the bumper sits about 3 in too far off the front

Saved over $100 on this front bumper, and I couldn't be happier. Build quality is great (for the price) and it installed easily and quickly. Great addition to my YJ. Very happy with Smittybilt products.

Like the look the aggressive stance and durability of product bolted up no problem but welded as extra strength as well
