Good looking, but not as sturdy as expected
This planter looked great on my deck when I planted pansies in it. However, it didn't hold up well and eventually became a planter for the floor of the deck instead of for the railing. The pegs that are used to adjust the width and the arms that go over the railing simply are not sturdy enough to support the weight. If you want to use them for artificial plants, they would be fine.

Solid on the rail!
A sturdy build, easy assembly, and the sage color looks great when it is planted up.

Works well
I got one of these in the spring. It was super easy to put together. Hangs nicely on the board. No fading or warping all summer. I would give that one 5 stars. I ordered 3 more. Two of the new ones aren’t quite right. I can’t get the pins to go in and stay in for the handle part. Since half of the ones I have don’t go together quite right and I’m not sure how well they will hang, I can only give 4 stars. They were the only reasonably priced ones I could find that hung over a board like we wanted.

Works great!
The planters work great for our patio railing. I did drill a few more holes into them, because of the Florida rain. I was also able to use a deco rail and screws to offer support to the back (see pictures). Great product & worth the money.

It’s ok after messing with it
I ordered 2 of the green. They are a nice size and I like the green color. They were packaged and taped up awkwardly and the stickers for the item were placed in stupid areas. So when you try to “carefully” remove them, it still leaves sticky, white, noticeable residue. There are no drainage holes, So we had to drill some in ourselves. Once filled, the planters are pretty heavy. The “arms and bolts” that attach to the planter and hold it to the railing feel flimsy and the bolts did not stay in until my husband hammered them in. Right now the planters are hanging on our deck rails, but I’m skeptical how long they will last. Hoping for the best and will update my review in a few weeks.

Easy to assemble
This is the second rail planter I have ordered. The first was too large so I did my research on the second one. The reviews were not too good but I ordered 2 anyway. I figured I could get someone to install it if I couldn't. I was pleasantly surprised to find it very easy to install and did it within 10 minutes . It does have asticky label, hard to remove, but it is on the inside and will not be seen. There are no holes but there is agrid that raises your plants above the water level. I may drill holes anyway. It is sturdy and there are 2 ways to make it fit. I,, 84 and if I can do it anybody can.

This will not hold on the 2x4 rail with a full load of soil.
Once the soil is in the pot, the whole thing rotates. really needs a clamp under to keep the weight from rotating it forward.
