I love Kyle.
He is a strong willed, capable, and manly Alaskan native. He hunts big game, provides for those he cares about, and is passionate about the wilderness. He is also a little softy on the inside. I also loved Logan. The only complaint that I have is with the authors writing style and book length. This needed another 100 pages. I wanted to have scenes where Kyle teaches Logan to hunt. I wanted to in between stuff. This author tends to skip over a lot of getting to know one another and tells us about stuff off page. But I love the wild setting and these guys.

Nice and easy - 4,25 stars
If you are looking for nice and easy love story, this is one for you. There are no stalkers, no abusive exes, and actually very little problems, except the weather, few rabid wolves and some curious bears and - flights with tiny planes.Logan became a father when one of his lovers dumped then two years old Justin at his doorstep. In this story we don't get to know more about that. Logan's family apparently stopped caring about him when it was obvious that he would never become a doctor. But again little is said about that, other than his friend Quinn's parents took him in.Now Logan is in Alaska, to help out Quinn and his husband-to-be Declan (and his brother Patrick) with some construction work. Coming to Alaska in the middle of the winter from sunny Florida is really a challenge, but Justin adjusts just fine. And when Justin is happy, so is Logan. Usually.Kyle is born and bred in Alaska. He lives off hunting and some odd jobs. He has been taking care of his niece last five years, since her parents were killed. Lani is partly Inuit and has learnt early on how to hunt and other necessary skills for people living in Alaska.Logan needs to get drunk before he dares to take the step he has been longing for for a while. His first time with a man is a bit painful, but not more than he'd like to explore this more. There is a bit dancing around each other, but when they take the step, it's very apparent for all present. From there it's just a straight road to family life with all those challenges being parents brings. A bit unusual life, but living in Alaska is always a bit outside the normal. The description of Alaska seems believable and the writing is flowing nicely.

Alaska..yes please!!
Gah I think I love this book more than the last and that's saying allot because I really loved the other one. Kyle and Logan are such amazing characters that you just don't want to leave their world. This book brings back all the others from the last book with the great addition of the kids. Kyle and Logan both are not to sure about how a relationship would fit into their lives but they do know that they definitely want each other. Logan is "straight" but had a strong attraction to Kyle, Kyle is definitely into Logan but not sure where he stands with him and also not even sure he's into guys. Then there's always that one crazy night, but this isn't that book that it happens then it's all happy from there. No this book has the true ups and downs as life. They definitely go through it trying to find there happily ever after but in the end it's worth it. Then there is once again the setting. I am in love with most things Alaska and this book was so great with painting such a beautiful picture and touching on the culture. This is definitely a book to read if you enjoy MM romance!!

Quick and sexy read
This is my favorite North Novel. I really enjoyed the first one but felt it lacked some tension and angst. This one however hit all the right notes.Absolutely loved Kyle and Logan. One of my favorite parts about Cara Dee's writing is her strong character development. This novel showcased it and made the secondary characters real as well, including Justin and Lani. The world building was even more detailed this time around. I loved learning about the different cultural aspects and felt the author did a tremendous job keeping me interested. The storyline itself was solid. I loved the interaction between the characters. It is more on the sweet side and fast moving but I think the addition of the tension and angst helped sell me on this one even more. It kept me thoroughly engaged and wanting more even after the ending because I loved the characters so much.Plenty of hot, steamy scenes to enjoy in the book as well. They all fit in with the story and did not overwhelm it.5 Stars for a quick and sexy read! Highly recommend!

Okay story, good writing. Same old dismissive crap with female characters though
I thought this was well written, the story-line flowed, and I had an actual feel for both heroes (which isn't that common, let me tell you). The reason I found it a bit disappointing was some of the glaring old misogyny hangups. I don't need strong women in an M/M Romance. I understand that by its very nature, M/M romance is going to focus on male-male interaction. Okay. But when the ONLY female character is presented as a slut, given no realistic motivation for her actions, and is also TREATED like a slut and dismissed by the other characters, I have a problem. The entire Sarah thing felt tacked on, entirely unnecessary, and the way she behaved made no sense when we consider who she was presented to be in book one. It was as if she was turned into a interfering tramp just to get a half chapter scene of jealousy from Logan. Then he does the slut shaming by accusing her of trying to win Kyle "with a set of tits".Yeah, no thanks. If the only female characters you're capable of writing are the elderly mother (non threatening) and the interfering whore (artificially threatening), than please don't bother at all.PS: the manage scene with the woman Logan picked up in the bar? Wow. Was it your intention to have the heroes come off as bastards, or was that just a side effect?

Good
Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes. Kyle and Logan are both great characters. There are a few misunderstandings between them at first but their attraction to each other is off the charts.
