Vera Control VistaCam 700 Wireless Camera, Black

There is a strange digital garble in the audio feed. The picture quality seems average enough to get the job done, i guess ..Nice how it is integrated with vera. Pairing wi-fi to the vera controller was easy. It’s in the fringe of coverage and the connection cuts out sometimes but it does reconnect in its own, not a problem with the wi-fi itself just it’s too far away and i have problems with the rest of the devices between my garage and house. The night vision is good enough to see in total darkness.I am updating to say after a day or so the vera secure hub downloaded an app which enabled the motion detection, adding an arming slider. It did not appear until the software updated. I’m new to the platform and was not even aware of the apps to download.

I have been using the Vera systems for 3 years to monitor two separate homes. I had been using the micasaverde VistaCamSD Wide Angle IP Cameras but I wasn't very happy because the output is quite grainy and the resolution is poor. Recently I upgraded one of my systems with one of these cameras and I am very happy. The setup was essentially automatic. The resolution is very good and the motion sensor seems to work OK but I use a separate motion sensor to trigger the photos and video captures. I wish the IR for night recordings was better and that is why I rated this with four stars vs five stars. Based on my success with this device I have purchased another one for another residence and will likely be buying a few more over time. The price is good and the quality seems to be very good.

I thought the terribleness of the first one was a fluke, but no. These things are just awful & the Vistacam PT is similarly terrible. They work for a little bit then require resetting or re-pairing. The motion sensor has never worked on any of them. Don't do what I did and think you'll be able to fix it. Send it back before the return window closes.

Easy to set up bu horrible video. The camera fails to respond most of the time, and when it does the image is a still shot b/w, with a refresh rate of several seconds before returning 'camera not responding'. I have two other cameras of a different model working very well, but bought this one because the other model is out of stock. This one is so bad I cant use it and have to wait for the other. Do not buy this camera.

I have used Vera products for years without an issue until my VistaCam quit after 6 months. After going through all of the support requests they determined it was defective. I am now going on my fifth day of waiting for an RMA so I can get it replaced under warranty. Repeated requests have been ignored and I continue to sit here waiting with a non-functional camera. Good camera when it works, however forget about any service after the sale.

Motion sensor on camera constantly triggers notifications. Vera techs remoted into to my controller to fix sensitivity but made it worse. Using motion sensor is therefore useless. This was the main reason I purchased the camera. Camera has very good resolution.I wish I had purchased another brand camera. Not satisfied with VistaCam 700, wish it could be returned for different VistaCam but too late now. I like the other Vera products porducts very much!

Best camera to have when combining it with the Vera system. It does not pan and tilt, but it has wide angle, installs easy with Vera and works well in low light situations. Considering a second unit soon!

This camera is average for the price. Narrow wide optic sensor put this camera on the baby monitor category. Hard to setup, buggy in operation and compared to other CCTV products Vera Control fail trying to reach the minimal usability of the products.
