Great for avoiding the neighbours
I'm unfortunate in that the window to my utility room is overlooked by next door and this means that if I need to pop in to grab some clean underwear I've got to commando crawl across the floor to be able to continue to look my neighbour in the eye in future. We've thought about blinds or curtains in the past however we like the fact that not having anything up lets in a lot more light in.This window film comes on a roll and its simple enough to install. I've installed mobile phone screen protectors in the past so I was sure this would work great.1. Cut the film to the correct size2. Peel off the protective layer3. Spray soapy water on the film and the window4. Apply the film and slide it into position5. Squeege the water out6. Admire your handy work whilst hanging free.It looks great once up and allows me to walk around my own house in my birthday suit without scaring the neighbours which is beneficial too all concerned parties.I'll be looking at getting some more soon to put on my neighbours window so I dont have to look at their ugly face whilst retrieving my favourite sock.*** If you've found this review helpful, please hit the "helpful" button as it makes writing them worth while ***

Awesome stuff, not too hard to do with a friend.
Overall this stuff is great! We have very tall windows so light can still come in through the top, anything lit up by the sun and reflective/bright may still be visible from the outside if it's close to the window. The smallest size was enough for us to do two horizontal strips for extra visibility and our windows are quite large. I was worried about sticking it on and messing it up but if you follow the soapy window guide and have someone to help it's not that hard, not fun...but not difficult.First of all, get soapy water, a spray bottle, a roll of kitchen roll, some scissors, a squeegee, a blade of some sort and another human. Once you have these things the job is a whole lot easier.Clean the window....then soapy soapy, spray spray spray, peel off as much plastic as you will need for the whole window section (this is where another human helps if you're doing it horizontal like us). The soap and the water will help hydro-statically adhere the sticker to the window without air bubbles...it also creates a hydroplane meaning you can move the sticker around easily to get it into the corners nicely.Once it's in the corners, take the scissors and cut slightly more than you will need from the other side, then, ask your friend to hold it there because the act of squeegeeing will require pressure and will move the sticker away from the corners. If it's not good enough, peel it off and start again and apply more soapy water. Squeegee out most of the water and when it's flat (doesn't need to be perfect) and in the corners nicely, use the squeegee to push the side with the extra sticker into the corners and then use your blade to cut it to the perfect size.If you do two strips the water from the top may seep behind the lower sticker in a capillary action, make sure it doesn't happen with some kitchen roll on hand, you don't want to ruin your handy work from before.I've included two pictures, one of the outside and one of the inside in "best case scenario" usage (and also without my big fat belly visible taking a picture)

Lots of soapy water and it's really easy to move to the perfect fit
I don't write many reviews although I buy a lot off Amazon. I bought this for our bedroom window which overlooks the street. It also has sun light on it all day and if it's particularly sunny our bedroom turns into a furnace. We found the instructions clear. Basically clean the window as best as possible, cut the piece to size, peel a thin clear film off the top. Then spray the window and the film with loads of soapy water. Slap it on the window and it moves around dead easy of you've put loads of soapy water on it. Then trim the edges and use a squeegee to push the soapy water out. Job done. The foil works wonders and is almost impossible to see through from outside and inside is crystal clear to look out. We've had couple nice warm days and it has kept the heat out brilliant too. We will be buying more for other windows now

Nice but awkward
This is rather finicky to use and to be honest, a pain in the back side. However, if you can seperate the film layer, it's pretty straight forward.I purchased 3 of these films to cover victorian bay windows which are quite long. I read the instructions, then spent 30mins attempting to seperate the protective film layer from the product. Having no success, I assumed the instructions were slightly wrong and installed the product to the window. It's slightly time consuming but within 40mins the first window was completely fitted and bubble free. On starting the second window, I pre cut the bottom to save me some fiddling once on the window. My scissors caught as I was cutting but bonus, I discovered there was a film covering after all. Once removed, there is a slightly sticky element which saves masses of time.It would be hugely helpful if there was a tab on the film to assist with detaching however in my experiance there is no difference, look wise, to the window I stalled without removing the film, and the one I did.
