Expensive, but.
Mites are everywhere and on us. If you get a human itch mite scabbies, not the gass itch mite, you'll need prescription from doctor for permethrin cream. You can only put this on every 14 days. So in between, you can put cedar oil on it to kill mites. Mites can be in heavy dust around home. Scabbies can live up to 7 months if not treated. One pump can be spread on entire for arm rubbing it in. Expensive, but it's armor and also says kills ticks too. If you're cleaning heavy dust, get a shower and use this too. Two pumps in hands for head and face rubbed in for example. Permethrin cream is $4 a 60 g tube. Ranger Ready is another spray for skin and clothes repellant. Dr. Ben's Evictor is basically cedar oil to kill ALL mites in carpets; Premo is said to be non toxic too.

Natural product that works !
I have used Cedarcide for years as an alternative to more harsh approaches. I use it for myself as well as my dog. Recently I was deep in Brendan Byrne State Forest in NJ with my dog & we were swarmed by "strawberry" flies, sort of the way Greenheads would swarm a person or animal. No worries, even tho they swarmed we did not get bitten !! I really like the Cedar aroma as well. I like to spray my dog's bedding & resting places. In my most recent order I got a bottle of Tickshield but have not used it yet, I've always just used the original. Highly recommend this product !!

Nice mild cedar smell
It’s an all-natural product, which I like - no Deet. The cedar scented oil seems pretty light, and the smell is nice, and doesn’t last for long. I’ve had no ticks, but a few mosquitoes did get to me. Oh well.

pleasantly surprised
i got this because i went to my friend house and they had fleas. i was trying to make it so i did not bring them home with me. our first time using this was on the 4th when we went to watch fireworks at the lake. my hubby was so shocked that it kept the gnats at bay and i did not get bit once. i would say so far i am in love. smell is very strong but not bad. hope you like the smell of cedar!

Didn't seem to work very well.
I applied as directed during mosquito season, and although I didn't find the fragrance unpleasant, it was quite strong and didn't deter the mosquitoes very well.

All but the lemon scent stinks something fierce, but they are effective
We hike early in the morning on the weekends and this spray is really effective. Haven't been bothered at all by flies, gnats, skeeters, ticks, etc since it arrived. BUT, the smell is awful. Except for the lemon scented. Too bad they don't offer the lemon as a 3 pack and the regular as the bonus

I would do anything to get rid of the ticks. They are in my scalp and on my back.
I have tried every remedy including this one and they are all worthless. I even ordered a dog collar but it never came. Even peroxide and straight alcohol do nothing to remedy the problem. Fine tooth combs just make them bleed. Hair dye also does nothing. And tick and flea bath, lice and tick sprays, and the story that the original Listerine kills them on contact is another myth.

Handy spray
These sprays come in really handy as a natural bug repellant, mostly for mosquitos but it's nice to know it works for ticks too. I got the 4 pack, I keep two in the mud room drawer, and one in the car glove compartment for convenience. They're small enough to take along in your pocket. It really gives me peace of mind to know it's not deet and isn't all packed with chemicals, especially for my 6 yo son and two pups. Recommended!
