Instructions don't match Video-Neither match product-No Deadbolt despite description of one
Trying to install product. Video shows easy. Delivered product has a deadbolt nob. Description talks about a deadbolt. No deadbolt in package. But inside handle has a post for a deadbolt that can't be removed. No slot for post in door (nor template provided) or on external handle. Took 3 days fighting with it to install. Apparently I need to drill an additional hold in the door for a non-existent deadbolt so the post has a place to go, then cut it off before it hits the outside handle. I'd rather have the deadbolt. Description says "Smart WiFi Home Door Lock, Keyless Fingerprint Entry, Temporary Password, RFID, Wireless App, Mechanical Key, Touch Screen Keypad, Digital Deadbolt Mortise Lock, Bedroom Hotel Airbnb, Left Hand." Wouldn't "Digital Deadbolt Mortise Lock" imply it comes with deadbolt hardware and instructions?Next issue was the length of the cable between keypad and inside handle. Instructions show cramming the extra inside the door hole, but there is WAY too much cable to fit there and get the two sides to connect. I finally noticed there is a large hole in the keypad side where the cable comes out that will hold most of the excess cable. Once connected to the inside handle, pull the cable back to the outside and cram the excess into the keypad side. Then you can get the two sides to connect without the cable getting in the way of the screw holes.Admins and users set up without too much trouble, but had to re-read instructions repeatedly to try to understand their meaning. Connecting APP was another problem. Instructions say press 3+#of lock. Lock is supposed to "rapid blink" but no way to get it into rapid blink mode given in book. Found another set of instructions for a different product that said press 3+# to put it into wifi discovery mode. That finally worked. Not the number of the lock, but just the # symbol! Once the App is connected, open the lock with individual passwords or fingerprints one at a time, then check the "Record" log for the entry. It lists the Entry number. Under users, it asks to add Password, Add Fingerprint, etc. But you've got to add the entry number stored in the lock, NOT the actual password. Only way to get that is checking the record log after a successful entry before the user is connected. Once the user is connected, the record log shows the user name, not the entry number. KEEP YOUR OWN RECORDS of users, passwords, & entry numbers for passwords, fingerprints, and cards, or you'll never be able to manage it.I created a fingerprint entry for my emergency backup friend. He saved 3 different fingerprint entries before the lock would successfully recognize his print. Be sure to hold your finger/thumb EXACTLY as you will when you will be grabbing the lock to unlock or it won't recognize you. For myself, I entered several, for each thumb, going multiple directions (palm up, palm down, etc.) in order to ensure it could recognize me.... Then had to try each one individually and check the record log to get the number for the user page.None of the instructions for installation, use, or App are clear, nor are they intuitive. But once you figure it out, it seems to work smoothly. I do wish I had the deadbolt!

Buy the old version not the new version
Buy this one! Do not buy the new one; it sucks. This is awesome. You can assign codes from your phone, set date and times. I tried the new ones made my door so it would handle the lock and they are crap! However with this one you’ll have to remove the pad lock or what ever it’s suppose to be for. Just bend it a few times and remove it.This lock is awesome.
