except for one minor physical layout issue it works great, including EDID
I have two laptops, both running Windows 10, and an UltraWide 21:9 aspect ratio monitor (2560 x 1080). This KVM switch handles my setup perfectly. I can seamlessly switch between the two laptops and the external monitor looks great. When I switch inputs Windows 10 doesn't see the monitor disconnected so it doesn't muck up and rearrange my desktop/icons. The keyboard shortcuts (scroll lock + scroll lock + 1 or 2) also works. My only grip is that the keyboard and mouse input are in the front. It looks really ugly this way when its under my monitor. If the inputs for them were on the back or side it would look and fit a lot better. But that's a minor issue.

Defective product sent me googling and I found cheaper/better options
So for some people the all in one is what they are looking for and this is the solution for them. However, there are products and solutions that basically does what the thing does for cheaper. I am being supported by my work to go back to school so I often switch between work and school computers for short bursts of time throughout the day. I already have screen switcher for $10 that connects two computers to one screen set-up (even supports dual screen) and all I needed was to not have to was two keyboards and mice on my desktop. As this doesn't support wireless keyboard and mouse I had to add a wired mouse and a wired keyboard. I also had to add wires if I wanted to use the other USB ports like printer and..whatever else. It somewhat supported my wireless HDMI screen connection but not very well so again I added another wire adding a second HDMI wire that now went to my personal computer. Meaning I went from 1/2 to 4/3. I went from a relatively clean work space with the only problem being two keyboards and two mice to wires EVERYWHERE. In googling how to fix this or if this was just how things were. I found cheaper ways to use one keyboard and mouse across two computers wirelessly. So just sticking stuck with my dual screen switcher $10, downloading Microsoft Flow FREE for the mouse/keyboard solution and downloading wireless printing capabilities to both computers to both of my computers. I did what I needed this to do for a lot less and lot less wires. My new way is is also not such a trauma when I take my personal computer home or my work computer to a meeting which this kinda was since not only were there so many wires but there were instructions on how everything had to be set up/powered down/powered up every time a computer left the dock. I did not want to mess with it too much since I was returning it but it seemed like you had to follow those to a T. I did give it one star (well one star plus) as if you are this wire based it does do what it is meant to to do and requires no drivers or downloads. No stars taken off for defective mouse/ keyboard ports that happens I am sure they would have handled the issue if that was my only concern.

Great product with a few minor issues
HDMI switcher works very well with a few minor issues that I came across. First off, the resolution and image quality are wonderful! (I don't have a 4k monitor, so I can't really speak about 4k quality) Both computers switch off easily and quickly and the cost is definitely reasonable. I had a minor issue with the "beep" sound being a little funky, and as one reviewer said, it tended to switch randomly after I turned it off or put it to sleep. But that was a pretty minor issue. All in all, it's a great unit that works well!

Does not work well with wireless Keyboard and Mouse
Doesn't work well with a wireless Keyboard and Mouse. While typing, letters are missed unless typing slowly. Also, tech support did not respond to my question about this. When the computers go to sleep, I am not able to wake them. My computer on port 1 does not respond at all. The laptop on port 2 will respond if I click on the laptop keyboard, and not with the wireless keyboard. Only then can I switch to port 1 to access the computer. So if you can live with these minor issues, it is okay to buy, but I'm sure there are other better options.
