This machine does what it says it will, though the instructions are quite lacking. There's no material/thickness/temperature/time chart, so it took some guessing and a lot of internet searching to find a starting point. The "manual" is also just a two-sided piece of paper with the wrong voltage on it (it doesn't seem to matter).The build quality is somewhat lacking, but not too bad. We did successfully bend a few test pieces of 3mm and 4.5mm acrylic, and the results were good.I elected to use a 5 gallon bucket for the water reservoir (the manual says 20L, so the bucket is slightly below that), and I got a couple ice packs so I can cycle them in the water if it starts to get warm. After 10 minutes running it in the tests, the tap-cold water had warmed slightly (the tests only had 3 gallons of water and no ice packs, so I expected faster warming).We only tested it today, so I don't know about the longevity. It did come with a spare heat tube, so that's nice. I'll update this if we have any problems.
