I normally don't like high-waisted underwear, but I'm having a laparoscopic surgery soon and wanted some underwear that would not bother my incisions during recovery. I like that these underwear come up high enough that they won't dig into any incisions, and the seam on the inside that connects the waistband to the bottom part is flat (it is the same as the outer seam shown in product photos). I was worried it would not be flat, so I was pleasantly surprised. They come up to just above my belly button. They are comfortable, and they fully cover my rear, which I also really appreciate. I washed and dried one pair to see if they would shrink (so I would know whether or not I should line-dry them) and they shrunk but only a tiny amount, not enough to change the fit.The only thing about these is that it seems that the sizes run a bit small. I wanted to make sure I got the right fit, so I used a measuring tape along with the size guide provided. I was right at the upper end of small, so I sized up and got a medium, but they fit like my size small (size 5) Fruit of the Loom underwear that I normally wear. For my rear, that's comfy, but I am worried about the waistband being comfortable especially since I know I will have a somewhat bloated belly after surgery. I already washed some and threw away the packaging so I can't return them and get a size large, so I guess I'll just have to make do.If you want these to fit, I would recommend going up a size from your normal size; if you want them to be roomy, maybe go up two sizes. For reference, I'm 5'8", 125 pounds, I wear size 6 jeans, and as mentioned, I wear size 5 in Fruit of the Loom and Hanes underwear. Medium in these fits comfortably for everyday wear, but large would likely have the extra room I was seeking for recovery.Update: The seller contacted me to help me get the correct size, and they're excellent! They're not baggy, but they will be perfect to accommodate any post-op swelling I may have. I'm very happy with these underwear and the helpfulness of the seller.

This is the second set of these that I've purchased. The first set was the perfect size, but they wore out much quicker than I would have expected. Seams came apart and small holes developed in a couple of pair. So, I gave them second try. I do like the underwear, but the second set (ordered in the same size) is too large. The waist comes up too high. So, my biggest complaint is inconsistent sizing. Other than that, this second set is holding up better than the first and they are very comfortable. They also keep their shape and launder nicely.

I like the fit and quality, doesn’t hold my stomach in much but that’s ok. They are very comfortable.

I will admit when I got these in the mail, they seemed disconcertingly large. I am not used to briefs, and definitely not high waist ones. I have always worn bikinis and hipster undies, but I've put on weight in the wake of some injuries and illnesses and I was desperate to find something that not only fit but was comfortable. After putting these on I'm going to throw away all my awful Hanes and Fruit of the Loom. Life is too short to waste time on terrible underwear.Now these underwear on the other hand are very soft, the stitching is solid and it doesn't have large seams that can irritate my skin. All elastic is covered with fabric and the utter lack of binding and discomfort almost makes me feel like I'm not wearing underwear.Women's sizing for clothes is generally crap, so please pay attention to the sizing chart and don't get 'the size you normally get' because it's arbitrary. Measure your waist and hips before finding the corresponding size on the chart and buy yourself these undies.My one and only complaint is I wish to gawd 5x came in different styles. I would kill for hipster cut and boyshorts this comfortable.
