Bernat Pipsqueak Stripes Yarn- 280g-Dreamboat

I've knit some things (mostly blankets) for babies, and they turn out to be the blankets that they love the most. This is definitely security blanket material!I knitted two blankets and a small swatch out of the blue Pipsqueak for my great-grandson, who is two. He pulled it out of the box and then sat on the couch holding it against his face for about an hour. I did two blankets because I knew he would love them, and this way he could still have a blanket when the other one was being washed. I've knitted blankets for other babies. The swatch is for when they go somewhere and don't want him dragging a blanket around. It could also be stuck in a handbag for emergency soothing.It knits nicely, with no worming, although you can't really see your stitches well. I've been knitting for a long time, so I knit by feel, and don't need to see what I'm doing anymore.I ordered this multicolored version of Pipsqueak for a different baby, and noticed that it's much fluffier and thicker than the solid-color blue (at least the batch I got). I had to go up a couple of needle sizes to work with it.

It is beautiful and soft. Most perfect just the yarn falls off a bit too easy. I had to cut off some pieces several times when making my blanket so I suggest buying atleast 1-2 more bundles then needed.

I was not pleased about the price because I paid half that when I could find it at Walmart. But I guess the higher price is what you pay to get your hands on a couple rolls of a discontinued color. Price aside it's exactly what I wanted and needed I love Bernat pipsqueak.

I am really quite impressed with this yarn. While the rolls appear small, once you get into them, it is way more than I expected. They are very soft. I am using them to make paw print wreaths. The colors are easy to divide by cutting. I definitely recommend this!

I had hard time starting anything with this yarn but I love how soft it is. I used stitch markers to get started. Much easier after the first row.
