Lightweight/Thin Aluminum bent on first open; Missing Bolt
This never got to an open state. Took it to the beach and tried to open it - two metal cross-braces bent like a soda can and tore a little bit. Looking around the reason became apparent: at least one bolt was missing from a cross-arm. That caused it to wing out as I tried to extend the tent. There are a lot of little parts and I cannot be expected to perform a QA check on a factory item. But even if the tent had opened fine, I don't think I would have given it really high marks. The aluminum is pretty thin, about the same as a cheap steel tent. Of course with aluminum being softer and weaker than an equivalent thickness of steel, the whole contraption is weaker than the steel. It is certainly lighter to carry, but it's also not going to hold up to much.We use tents at the beach on the Gulf and tend to break one a year, because we set up on the sand and every so often we miss an incoming t-storm and even the steel ones will fold over themselves. I don't blame any manufacturer for that and don't expect any tent like this to survive when we don't get there in time. The issue here is that I don't think this tent would survive a typical Gulf day if there was anything more than a gentle breeze. It was simply too lightweight. On the plus side, this would probably do well for occasional use in a protected backyard setting (assuming all the parts are installed) for something like a picnic on a nice day. But the cost of steel tents is half this, and I don't think saving a few pounds is worth the money, especially when the steel ones set up single-person almost as easy as this advertises. They all look the same when they are erected, so why pay so much?Aluminum is lighter, weaker and more expensive; steel is heavier, stronger and much cheaper. You decide what is important to you.

nice
I own a heaver version easy-up we use for camping. I purchased this one to use when I'm alone at an event where shade is needed. Even at this size and weight it is still difficult to set up alone. If you were on smooth concrete it might be OK alone but on grass its tough. It does seem to be made well and sets up and takes down easy with two or more. Nice for day trips, I would not use it for windy areas, heavy rain or leave it up when you are not around. EZ-UP with one person it is not, but let me know if you find one out there of similar quality.

Great purchase, no regrets.
We purchased in June to use for taking to various outdoor events. But once we received it, we put it up on our patio over our new patio furniture and loved it so much we never moved it again, as a matter of fact it's still up but we will be taking it down tomorrow for the winter. This product was awesome, quality was that of a higher priced item and large size provided terrific shade. It was so lightweight and easy to setup? My husband had the brilliant idea to put long bungie cords on each side and hook to the steel patio table when we expected bad weather and the Canopy didn't move through any windy storm. I bought 2 side panels but never had the need to use them. Price was excellent and I think we will buy another one in the Spring.

Horrible!!!
Buyer beware. I cannot believe this got three reviews with 5 stars each. I used this tent ONE TIME yesterday. Opened it up and one of the legs are broken (the portion that snaps into the leg is broken off). I was at an art show and had to improvise with a stick to hold the leg up. It started to rain and the rain LITERALLY poured through the tent. It was raining inside my tent. The top was no better than a bedsheet or piece of paper. The rain came right through the material and into my tent. We're not just talking leaky seams here. It was literally raining INSIDE my tent, pouring through the top. It was a complete nightmare. I had artwork hanging and it was soaked. I am not naive with this style of tent, and realize there can be dripping seams and droplets here and there, but this is a whole different situation. I am sending this tent back tomorrow. What a joke. The "Great Walls" that go with the tent are also a joke. The rain soaked right through the material. My worse Amazon purchase ever.

Used sand bags to weight it down on windy days and it worked fine. Carry bag is nice and it rolls well ...
Bought this to use on the beach. Very well made. Stood up to light breezes with no problem. Used sand bags to weight it down on windy days and it worked fine. Carry bag is nice and it rolls well on smooth surfaces. Unit is heavy to lug around but definitely worth the effort. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality canopy.

Tie it down, even if you think it's stable.
Really important to tie this down! Wind caught it, tumbled over, was very lucky to only have a torn tent. With the metal, it could easily caused damage to people or vehicles.

Great Canopy's
This is the 2nd canopy that i have bought. I love these canopy's. I use them side by side. I use velcro straps to join them in the middle. I can put up each one in 3min & take them down in 3min. People are amazed.how quick i can put them up & take them down & they are so light. All my photographs & canvas prints are now under cover. I needed something that i could do by my self. Very satisfied & Happy.

canopy for swim meets
exactly as described. Quality canopy and frame. It is nicer than I thought. Also purchased additional canopy tie down system since it is a light frame and don't want it to blow away in Tx wind. Much lighter and easier to operate than the EZup that we had. Best price $170 on amazon and free shipping with prime
