Good value but will probably last a season with heavy use.
It’s an ok gasket. I fitted it to my Kamado type BBQ a few weeks back and have used it a lot. It does the job like any other felt type gaskets and is good value. Easy to cut and apply to the grill, and most of the work was in preparing the base to apply the gasket.After a few uses the gasket compressed and went black so I expect it to last a few months at best, although I will say I am a heavy user as the grill is lit probably 3-5 nights a week year round.

Fits Kamado Big Joe & works well
Used this to replace the perished gaskets from my Big Joe, confirmed the largest version of this product fits with enough left over for chimney seal. I've been through about 3-4 of these types of gaskets in 5 years, I've purchased gaskets identical to this about twice the price that claim to have "Nomex" technology, to be honest they all perform the same, they all last about a year to 18 months depending on use. Fitting the gasket is pretty straightforward and takes less than 10 minutes, removing the layer left behind from the old gasket is where the work is, I've found that 40 grit high quality sandpaper continually dipped in white spirit to scrub the old gasket off is the easiest method of removing the layer of baked on adhesive prior to fitting this. Now I've an airtight Big Joe ready to go. Don't forget to run the BBQ up to a reasonable temp and let cool down for 24 hours to cure the gasket prior to use.

Excellent quality replacement gasket
Dimensionally identical to the original gasket and adhered well once the original had been removed. I used a Joetisserie which definitely shortens the life of the gasket, but this is standing up to regular high heats without degrading as quick as the previous gasket. There was enough to do my medium Kamado Joe plus a chimney attachment I use.Once applied I left the lid closed overnight then used as normal. Excellent in every respect.

Much thicker than the stuff Big Green Egg use
Too thick now Big green egg lid doesnt close so despite having new gasket, smoke still leaks from the edges. So a little pointless really.Updated: following the initial review after allowing the gasket to settle and after a few BBQ sessions. Still not 100% however greatly reduced smoke leakage. Suspect over time it will work well.
