so far so good.
I'm giving this 4 stars for now, as i'm not sure how well it will stay in place and how durable it is. First of all, I got this to see if it eliminates snoring when my mouth stays closed. I'm not a heavy snorer but if this can stop the occasional tired snoring then it's worth the low cost. It's made of a very thin tan color neoprene like material. It does have that wetsuit smell but it doesn't bother me. Not like you put the chin strap on your nose, but it has 2 Velcro straps one for the back of the head and one for the top. The XL is for my large head, which wears between a large hat and sometimes xl hat, but I have the Velcro on its tightest settings and with it on, I can still move my mouth. But with that said though, I feel the elasticity around my chin that it's holding up the bottom of my chin up, but not really sure if it can keep my mouth closed. But just testing it, it feels comfortable enough where I can sleep with it on. Will report if it works or not. I think most of these have durability issues, but looking at the sewing and the Velcro, it seems constructed well enough. But will report if it eventually stretches out or just doesn't stay on as well.Update #1: only wore it once, but it didn't fall off. I'm pretty sure i roll around like both sides, but not that much lol. But it stayed on through the night. Like i said it is sort of thin, so i thought maybe it would slide off or something, but it didn't. I woke up with it still on my chin and actually my chin was pretty warm with it in that cup shape all night lol. Maybe this is better for a double chin then snoring lol, but i'm still testing it. How you might be asking? LOL, well i bought an olympus recorder, its very cheap in the 28-30 dollar range, vn7200 model and it works great, records via sound level, so if you start to snore it records. You can record how long you snored overnight haha. And actually i did snore less with it on. But i'm testing combinations, nose sprays, breathe right strip, chin strap combinations, so it could be a combination effect that can help reduce snoring. I sometimes get congestion in the spring and use fluticasone propionate i think it's called, it works great for that pollen season congestion and now is over the counter at like CVS type places. So something, you should ask your doctor before trying but i think it works well. Will post more as i learn what works.

Very comfortable and works well with a beard
I have a full beard, and have found many straps like the Respironics just don't fit well - like the chin strap isn't cup-shaped, or it just tends to slip off my chin, defeating the purpose of the whole thing. Also it was hard to keep the velcro parts of the Respironics from scratching me, and the way it lined up it sometimes chafed the top of my ear.I tried several, and finally found this one, which is the best so far for staying on, and also the most comfortable. The chin strap is a little bigger and more cup-shaped so it stays in place over my thick beard much better. The velcro doesn't touch you, so no scratchies, and there is no contact with my ears at all. Overall, a much more secure and comfortable chin strap. The only change I had to make with this one is, it's best for me to put on my nasal-pillow mask FIRST, then this chin strap on over it, while I used to do it the other way around. The reason is, the outside of this strap seems to be a bit smoother and slicker than the others, so it's easier for the mask straps to slide around when you're sleeping, which can cause the pillows to lose seal. But putting the mask on first, then this strap, isn't really much more difficult, and the mask stays in place much better now than it ever did.Like all CPAP straps, you'll have to hand-wash this, and the neoprene will eventually stretch out beyond your ability to adjust it, although it should last at least a year.So far, this is the best CPAP chin strap I've found.

Not perfect, but closer than anything else
This particular model was used at my latest sleep study (Stanford University) and seemed to be much better than the "ruby" type I have been using for years. Since my DME provider could not supply the SP-CHADJ I bought this from Amazon to see if it was as good as I remembered. Having used a CPAP (now graduated to a VPAP Bi-Level) for over 20 years, I have been through a lot of equipment and take it from me, things are getting better.A chin strap is a personal thing and many factors go into a satisfactory PAP session. Nothing lasts forever so expectations of longevity should be realistic. The only way to get an ideal chinstrap is to design and make it yourself. I'll get around to it some day but, in the meanwhile I'll probably use this item and keep watching for a better one. I just wish Medicare would be a little more flexible in this matter.BTW I use nasal pillows with a ResMed Swift FX headgear and it fits in well with the SP-CHADJ and keeps a good seal despite my 21/16 pressure so, that's saying something! I average 7.5 to 8+ hours of good sleep per night and rarely dream at all.Your mileage may vary.

Works but very cheaply made
The size is great, it's fairly comfortable for what it does. But it's very cheaply made. I give it a couple months before it's no good anymore.

Almost Worthy of Five Stars
I bought this for a family member and he told me:"The Adjustable Chin Strap is pretty good, but not great. The topaz color is far from my favorite choice, but it's not exactly daywear. The design of the chin strap itself is excellent. My mouth is kept shut without needing to make the chinstrap excessively tight. My previous chin strap left marks on my chin and face. Also, my previous chin strap kept slipping off my head. Given how the topaz adjustable chin strap wraps around the head, it pretty much cannot slip off.My only complaint is that the material of the chin strap doesn't breathe at all!!! The chin strap is soaked in sweat every morning. I have to wash the d*mn thing every two-three days. Why couldn't they make the chin strap with a cotton liner or a mesh material?"My suggestion to him was to place paper toweling inside the strap (nightly) to keep the unbreatheable material off his face. If the manufacturer addresses the problem, this will be a five-stars product.
