Yep, it’s the same incense they burning in Chatholic churches.
Smells just like church. Mush be used in church. Use with the self-light charcoal bricks for church as these are big chuncks of myrrh, sandalwood shavings, and frankincense....a very nice frankincense.Good buy, lasts a long time. You’ll want to switch it with something newer and intresting before you run out.Easy to get board of after a while.

The label on this product is deceptive. Don't waste your money.
This "incense" is a joke, and certainly not worth the money. Instead, it is a bunch large clumps of resin-like material, with wood shavings. The wood is not fragrant, but rather similar to residual shavings from ordinary wood. When my package arrived, I was excited to immediately try it out. The large clumps produced 'some' smoke initially, but quickly snuffed out. Even after direct ventilation, they slowly died out on the incense charcoal. The smell is NOTHING like traditional catholic church incense. I will attempt to return this product, and hope that Amazon will return my money.

Fragrant church incense
This incense is a very fragrant blend that will be very familiar to Roman Catholics who attend traditional High Masses and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. The blend is exceptionally clean of debris that you wouldn't want to smell burning, such as bark, but it also contains shreds of clean inner wood that you DO want to smell. Cedar probably, and some other wood. I don't believe the description states all the ingredients, which would be nice but be assured that you will recognize the scents when you burn it. I light a candle and put some of the incense both under and over the quick lighting charcoal briquettes used in censers when I settle in for my rosary. Very meditative.

Not what it used to be
I ordered this pontifical incense years ago and loved the smell (it was just like church when I was young), this time the scent is weak and the resin is gummy (like burning plastic) also doesn't emit the frankincense and myrrh scent like it used to. It used to be such a nice scent, it's unfortunate that the quality has decreased so much.

Nice earthy smell.
Smell very nice but not what I was looking for. They seem to be missing one crucial ingredient. The product should be pulverized better and smaller to help with consistent smell. Some pieces of resin are just too large.

This was the incense of my childhood, but no more.
They must have change the formula from decades ago. It just smells like burning wood chips. The resin is in huge chunks, and even if you break it up it doesn't smell good.
