BOB books have been how I learned to read and the best source for teaching my 6 year old to read. They are great way to start small, build confidence, and progress steadily.All the book sets do a great job but my son found the Animal Stories especially engaging.

These books are amazing - my daughter is making progress in leaps and bounds! Can't recommend them highly enough.

Bob books are great for beginners! My daughter learned on them pretty quickly and is now reading 1/2 level books.

My 4 - now just turned 5 year old grand daughter is working her way thru these boxes of books.When we got to the "ANIMALS" box, the "MOP" story is our favorite so far.WHAT A SURPRISE!If you haven't checked out these books yet, do so !Children can read them by themselves.The stories are delightful.I sit and read a box at a time -And my grand daughter has developed a new "game" where she covers the first letter of each word and I have to read it to her making all the ridiculous sounds - while we both laugh together.There is NO intimidation or fear of failure.And NO worry of boredom with these simple sentences.The stories are LOVELY and simple.Watch out for the "MOP" !ENJOY

I bought several different beginner sets for my 5 year old daughter and the Bob Books are her favorite of all the ones I bought. She raced through each series within a few days and then asked to start them over instead of going on to another set. I am extremely impressed with how far she has come after just 3 weeks of working with her.

These beginning readers are scientifically based to help your child read and not guess just by looking at the pictures. Must words are able to be decoded! Good quality and will last us for many children!

BOB books are how we taught our children to read. We love the animal stories as they build off of previous sets and are familiar characters.
