I ordered three of these last month and they seem to work well with my shoes with leather sole. I would probably have given a four star since I don't know how long they will hold up. Considering I only buy shoes on sale, adding an extra 7 to 8 bulks is quite expensive if it does not last.However, the most recent one I ordered is a different quality: When I peel the white layer off, I immediately noticed that the glue is peeling off two, and most of the glue goes to the white plastic layer, not the rubber. The rubber part does not have much glue left on it. So as to be expected, the rubber does not even stay well on the sole of my shoes, without much walking. I guess it is an item that has been sitting there for many years, and the glue has already dried out. I will stop here and will never buy again. It is a shame for something that is labeled "Made in America."

These are by far the best grippies I have ever used! They have been on my boots for a long time and I just tore a tiny corner of one because of someone's door frame! I have put them on other shoes I do not wear as often and no problem with those either. The boots are amazing though because I wore those everyday - all winter long - seriously no other shoe outside and I live in Michigan. They are leather top and soled Frye and were so slick it was a nightmare. Get these and follow all directions!

These work wonderfully, just as advertised! I have several pairs of nice shoes (some expensive, some inexpensive) that have the same problem -- smooth, slippery outsoles. Makes me wonder what shoe designers are thinking???? I sometimes have occasion to be in venues that have marble or other types of very smooth, shiny floors. Walking on these surfaces with my shoes that have slippery soles is a recipe for disaster. I have tried various remedies without success, but thought I would give the Slippy Gripz a try. I adhered them to a new pair of red pumps that have very smooth soles. They worked perfectly! So far the pads have stayed on, and I was able to safely walk across that slippery marble floor with confidence! I will be ordering more of these for all my other troublesome shoes.

Worked for a bit. About 5 days in, I noticed I dragged my foot a bit and it started peeling. Smoothed it out the best I could and have tried not to mess with it, but it's peeling around the edges. Better than the small hole I had worn in the sole, but I think this is not a long term solution to stretch out a sole's useful life. Must get new soles or shoes. I had hoped for more.

My heels for my bridesmaid's dress were particularly slick, so I ordered these. They were easy to put on, worked well to prevent slipping and lasted through the aisle walk, photos and the reception dinner, but unfortunately fell off during the after dinner dancing - and one can only dance so wildly in a floor length chiffon gown.

I work in health care and I live in Seattle, so we have slippery sufaces everywhere, especially this time of year. I was hoping this product would help. I cleansed the soles of my shoes and let them completely dry before applying the slippy gripz. They lasted 2 days of wearing before sliding off and creating mats of stickiness on the bottoms of my shoes. It was a pain to get the goo off after the slippy gripz slid off so much I ended up cutting them off. I do not recommend this product; I'm going to continue to look for a better option.

Sorry to say, these are a complete waste of money. I sincerely had high hopes for this product. I read the reviews and thought that maybe the 1 star people hadn't followed all of the instructions explicitly.I bought them for my brand new, never-been-worn, Capezio character shoes- since the soles are treacherously smooth. I followed all of the instructions for cleaning the clean soles with the included product, attaching the soles and I let them dry for days before wearing.On the first night that I wore them out to an event, one Slippy Gripz fell off. I never even ever saw it.On the second night that I wore them out, the second Slippy Gripz slid right off on the dance floor.Clearly, if you're going to buy these, you're going to need a super-glue-type product to affix them.

Bought these to try on the heel section of flats that are very slippery - cut one in half and trimmed off a little, and they work great! no more sliding around in my shoes! would definitely recommend them to keep shoes safe. Only four stars because I don't know how long they will last.
