Every parent should get this for their kid!
I am a big Marie Kondo fan, and have been using her methods to help me keep things that spark joy and my house tidy. Now that we have a toddler, it was overwhelming to deal with all the items that are needed for them (diapers, sippy cups, etc.) and things that give them joy (toys, crafts, etc.).We also wanted our toddler to get into the habit of learning what gives him joy and how to organize his things. This book was amazing for that and it also taught about respecting one's differences and helping friends.Highly recommend to any child (and even adults). The drawings are amazing!!!

Incredibly Inspiring & Visually Instructional for Kids to Tidy Up
As a certified KonMari Consultant, I have shared this book with my friend's 8-year-old son, and he found it encouraging and visually helpful in imagining how he could tidy up his own room. We both loved the vivid colors, adorable characters, and clear examples that showed the difference between the joy of being tidy vs. the frustrations of being untidy. He referred to the steps of folding at the back of the book when we practiced folding his T-shirts in an upright rectangle. Excellent book for instructing and inspiring kids to tidy up with joy!

Joy Not Fully Sparked
I love and respect Marie Kondo and the Konmari method so much and have been a follower since 2014. I love her other books, and they spark joy with their size and texture. Unfortunately I do not feel the same about this book. For one thing it arrived with a big mark on the cover. That did not spark joy. The other highly subjective critique is the size. It’s a large book. I would have preferred a smaller format with high quality paper (the paper is smooth and thin, unlike the texture of her other books). The (very) short story is okay, cute for kids but the pictures don’t spark joy the way the illustrations in her other books do. I think it’s a missed opportunity (and hopefully not just a money grab) - I would have loved the book to have the same feel as her other tomes. I guess I expected more.

Simple Message. Beautiful Illustrations.
Beautifully Illustrated and written in such a way that my 3.5 year old immediately went and wanted to tidy her room so her friends could play! Love this book! She requests to read it atleast 3x a week and seems to generally keep things picked up. She is only 3 afterall. Weve had the book about a month and today she said she had too many books and helped pick which to donate without a fight and seemed to enjoy it. Highly recommended!

Precious
This book's story is precious. It got my children's attention including an adult daughter. They were able to answer my questions about what the book taught them. I think they get it now, finally.

Adorable AND so helpful for kids and parents!
I am smitten. This sweet story is going to be such a helpful tool to so many parents who are searching for a way to teach their kids about how to care for what they own and to make space for what matters.I read it to my own 7-year old daughter, and the life-changing magic was practically instant...I’m a professional organizer, and I can’t wait to gift this to my clients with kids. Fantastic!

wonderful
Love this book. Read it with my 4 yr old and we are gathering his books today. There are things I would do differently since a sentimental gift was given, wpuld be including that category and maybe all the categories. But it is very clear and simple. I love sharing this with my son.

Great book
My partner has the adult version of Marie Kondo and tips for a tidy house. So we thought it was a good idea to share her children’s book for our daughter. She absolutely loved it and took the book to school for the teacher to read to the class.

Indispensable

Really cute book!
My therapist actually recommended this for my daughter. While we haven't put it into practice yet, I am hoping it helps her let go of things she no longer needs. It's very cute - she actually likes reading it so I consider that a win!
