Politics for the Masses in a very compact tidbit....
Was looking for a short but detailed overview of the major political systems on the world scene today, as well as an overview of past political systems that have fell out of favor, or have evolved from their original formulations, and this was an extremely interesting survey with good background and explanations, as well as graphics, that really help the reader with comprehension, all done in a very entertaining and winning way. Love this series of 'Introductory' topical books from 'Icon', which are so much more well done with concise and readily understood descriptives than its competitors. This particular offering is exemplary of the series as a whole, if other titles that I have read are any indication. Highly recommended.

Poor attempt at a great resource
I was hoping this might be usable for an introductory Undergraduate class on political thought, but sadly I would not recommend it, especially for use in the classroom. The text is overly simplistic, with many topics getting 1-2 pages of large text (2-3 paras/page) at most. The graphics are a mess, and it looks like someone was trying to create a political philosophy clip-art book, rather than a serious graphic novel covering an important and wide range of topics. Any text that goes from the State of Nature to the Prisoner's Dilemma to Sovereign Power in about 8 pages is not doing justice to any of the topics!

This book is great for people new to politics as it will introduce them to the great political thinkers of all time of course further reading will be necessary in the specific ideologies and traditions one would be interested in.

A beginner 's chance to understand
Very short, to the point about political philosophy. As person who loves history, this gave me a different perspective of history of the world. I also will start to read more of this subject and many others. Thank you for lighting the fire to read again

Very informative!
The images were humorous and added a visual effect to the commentary. The breakdown of complex ideas were in depth and constructive.

Easy yet ultimately a complicated read
The book was a good primer for linking political theory over time. It is a guide to help find areas of further personal study.
