Christmas Gift For My Adult Son
He was very touched by the gift and the inscription. His girlfriend later told me that it was his favorite present. That makes me super happy. It looks great and the wooden storage box is beautiful!

nice gift to give to son
amazon delivered quickly ☺ - i thought i chose a different compass (the #3) but received the #1 compass. Probably my fault not checking while adding to the cart. Would rather have the leather looking case for the compass instead of the wooden box . overall, it is a nice compass to give as a gift for my son age 29 - he does hike all the time in NC, so it may come in handy should he lose cell phone service (which has the compass app). At this time, i would recommend buying it as it's a great gift to give a son with great wording engraved on it. If Amazon checks back again with me in 6 months, I can write if the compass works well.

Makes a great gift
I bought this as one of the gifts for my graduating son from college. It wasn't intended to use as a compass but the inscription was the eye-catcher. The quality was OK for the price point.
