While expensive this owl appears to carry some merit, as bird activity has died a little since its arrival. Not the most realistic owl, the rotating head and (if the cover underneath the owl is removed and it is placed on a pole) body can work effectively at deterring birds. I do not know about sturdiness but it feels strong enough to last. Not the biggest owl I have seen. Overall, so far, 3.5 stars out of five. Bird activity is still continuing but not to the same level, the birds are still digging and making a mess but to a much lesser degree.

Well made product, using it to scare birds away from feeders, the bird seed and suet are attracting rodents.

I bought the Owl to scare Pigeons from my garden, they were making too much mess. so I fixed the Owl to a log with the screws provided and propped it up at the edges of the garden. First day was a success, the pigeons were clearly put off, diving over it at times to get a closer look, they didn't land at all in my garden. The next day though they had sussed it a little and were landing but well away from the Owl. 3rd day they didn't care, back to normal. So since then I have been moving the owl around the garden and keeping it reasonably central. I have also been scaring them off myself when they have landed. Doing both these things has proven successful! if it counts as success!!

Got this to get rid of pigeons in my garden I put it up on a post and guess what they now sit next to it they couldn't care less lol

Useless with no effect on anything - bird or squirrel or ants…head doesn’t move other than when someone moves it manually. I wonder how I fell for it
