Used this to build a veneer press. Works awesome.

Could not find diameter until it arrived, 5/8". Solid construction

I bought two and made a nice Moxon vice. Recommended.

For paper or book binding press this item works great. It is also good for wood veneer press jigs. How ever, the threads were made in one or two passes which resulted in a rough and irregular fashion. To compensate, the mating nut is slightly larger so the two do not fit snuggly. It won’t hold up under heavy, repeat applications. It’s possible to cross thread the two parts if your not careful. You can’t expect precision at this low of a price. For our paper art applications it’s perfect.

I used this clamp to make a press for the rings of segmented bowls for turning. It is well made and should work well.

Quality was exactly as expected. Do not buy this item if you aren't prepared to do a little extra in your design to make it work. Basically it doesn't mount flat. The issues you will have very from each review but they are basically saying that it's low quality and most likely has very few standards it has to meet wherever it's made. I would have gladly paid a higher price for a different brand with better reviews, but they were either sold out or not available anywhere. Bought the only one I could find. They sell on eBay as well. Same crappy one. I would say it's worth the money for the most part if you have to have this exact style, it just will not arrive perfect. Congrats to everyone that received a perfect one! Lucky you.

Put five in my knife handler press, 10/10 would recommend
