Worked great for pumping biodegradable hydraulic oil
I bought it to transfer biodegradable hydraulic oil and it worked perfectly. I thought it would take a long time, being a manual pump, but I transferred 5 gallons in less than 5 minutes.

Syphon made easy
Gas leak from gas tank had to remove gas before repair can be made. So this helps for a more safer experience when work is done on vehicle.

Overpriced
You can find the same pump for half the price at home depot, harbor freight and other hardware stores. Its a good pump, but dont waste your money, when theres cheaper options for the same product.

Worked Great
I used this pump to change my 75-85 weight differential fluid. Worked great. I would not use it w/ cold diff fluid, but did mine in the summer and it was probably 70 degrees - no issues.

Used it to pump new 85w140 gear oil
Pumped the gear oil and suction was fine, that is... until the outlet hose popped off the top of the pump spraying gear oil all over the driveway. Watch the connections. It will pump heavier oil, but I will be keeping a close eye on it next time I try it, what a mess.

Did not pump engine oil
I'm a mechanical engineer. I assembled according to instruction sheet. First attempt the suction hose collapsed making fluid flow impossible. I then I rigged an improvisation that solved that problem, but soon, the oil seemed to soften the rubber/plastic seal around the plunger shaft so all it would suck was air. Or maybe the curly little plastic suction tube went down the dip stick and back up again into thin air above the oil.In any case, I can't believe anyone ever pumped out a crankcase of used engine oil with a pump like I received. Returned the whole oily mess in a plastic bag.David H
