Many discs have no grit # on the back
I’ve used the same company’s sandpaper sheets for a while now, and wanted to try their sanding discs, so I figured I’d give the sample pack a go. I have zero complaints about the substance of the sandpaper itself, but there is one serious flaw. They obviously cut the discs from large sheets of their sandpaper, as you’d expect. However, the backs of their sheets aren’t marked with their grit # very often. This isn’t a problem for the cut sheets, but with these much smaller discs, it means many of the discs have no identifying marks on them at all, and a bunch only have part of the number (often a trailing zero or two, which isn’t much help).Dura-Gold also doesn’t differentiate between grits with different colors of labels on the back, so you can’t infer one from another similar color.I’ve attached a photo of what I’m talking about. I believe this particular example was sat between a pair of 600-grit discs, but otherwise I have zero clue. This seems like a fatal flaw in what seems like a very competitive product. The price is right, and the discs themselves hold up well, but if you can’t identify which is which, what’s the point? I shouldn’t have to guess at grits from their order in the box and mark them up myself. This might be less of an issue with the homogeneous boxes of a single grit (everything in the box is the same regardless of order) but as soon as you remove such a disc from a box, unless you put it straight back or toss it, it will get forgotten.

Cheap easy good sanding addon to your drill
If you need to sand down a few things real quick and aren't a master carpenter this is the add on for your drill. It works great for things like filling holes in the wall or sanding down sharp edges on tables. Don't expect to do heavy wood working with this but for the price it is highly recommended.

A great addition to the workbench
I love these. I have them in 1", 2" and 3" varieties and wonder how I got along without them for so long. They make it much easier to sand smaller projects and hard to reach places on just about any project I work on. I especially like that they come with a large selection of various grits from 60 up to about 2000 and that they attach using Velcro/hook & loop. Changing the pad is quick and simple and even after quite a bit of use I haven't noticed any coming off on their own thanks to the Velcro becoming clogged. It also has a flexible head that the sandpaper attaches too so that when sanding over uneven areas each spot is still sanded. The one item I would like to see changed is the arbor that attaches to the drill/handle. It is about 3" long so you can get the pad into most areas but there are some it won't quite reach such as if I make a bowl deeper than 3" deep. The addition of a 6" or even longer arbor would truly make this perfect for any project.

Great sanding disks for a variety of mediums
I bought these sanding disks for workworking and turning items on a lathe. The disks are pretty durable and do not gum up as much as other sanding items do.I started off using the 120 grit disk on an air sander to smooth out some resin castings, then moved through the grits, up to 1000 grit, and was able to achieve minimal circles. Though, I started off dry sanding from. 120 to 320, then started wet sandi g with the 400, 600, 800 and 1000 grits. The disks cleaned up fairly well afterwards by either slapping g them across a surface or dousing in water Nd rubbing the fibers out of the grit.I have also used these for items being turned on a lathe, without the backing pad, and they conform very easily. I have not used the included wheel yet, but it should fit a 1/4 inch chuck easily. The hook side of the disks hold very well, even when soaking wet. Great sanding disks for the mo ey

3" 320 grit my new Go-To
I never seem to get pics or video, however I invested in a 3" air sander came with a variety of grits ran through em like bare feet on hot coals.I ordered the Gold because I'm old do allot of projects & back in my day gold was I used.I was not let down sanded a Motorcycle that had been painted before (poorly) Wow! Do these guys last. I was worried about only ordering 30. Durability is an understatement. I am impatient so normally as I feel the results slowing down I'm swapping paper. 1st paper I've used in decades that wear evenly & clogged only when I rushed the primer. Best bang for the buck no doubt. I have enough left for another couple projects & will try other grits from these guys. Who woulda thought a sandpaper that actually worked harder than I did.

Not the best but works ok
For the price it's ok. It clogs quick. I purchased a cheap mini DA and it came with some paper and it performed way better than this which shocked me. Ive only used the 80 grit to repair a some wheels.

3 inch round hook and loop sander
I got this to sand a bird's eye maple bowl that was damaged. I needed something to sand inside the bowl and get rid of cut marks and water damage. This worked great. I was skeptical at first and it does take a bit of experimenting to sand the abrupt edges inside the bowl but this did a great dob and you have plenty of different grits of sand paper to use. Very pleased. Supplier was super fast getting this to me which was seredipitous.

They work great!
So, I got into a car accident in November of 2020 and hurt my shoulder. I could hardly wipe down my kitchen counters or clean my toilet, let alone do any of the sanding I needed to do to restore a couple of small pieces of furniture I have. The idea of using sandpaper on a drill was strange to me but when you're in pain anything is worth a try. These things are incredible! I don't like that they are only 3 inches in diameter but since you're using them with a handheld power drill, it probably wouldn't be very steady if they were any bigger. I used this on a black end table without first using paint thinner. It ate right through the paint immediately! There are many different grits and the coarsest one would probably cut a hole out of your wall, no joke. Make sure you wear a mask and safety glasses though because they produce a ton of dust.Great product for a very cheap price!

Value for money = Great purchase
I was looking for a easy and cheaper use for power tool replacement of a sander. This, was best for the limited use that I had, to remove and repair rust on my car. The only drawback is the weight of the drill machine and need to keep grinding pad focused on required area, else it can spin outta control. For small jobs and as a standby using less space and most importantly $$$$, then this is a good purchase. The higher numbered (smoother) sandpapers could be a bit better quality. But that's me being sassy here.Enjoy, be safe, use safety equipment and patient.....!
