More than an exceptional value!
Yes, this pedal is made of plastic. Yes it is inexpensive. But don't be fooled- unless you really mash on the switch button like an idiot, or over torque the battery cover screw too hard with a screw driver and strip out the plastic threads- it is pretty tough and durable. The chorus effect has plenty of adjustment, tone, and depth. It may not be a Boss pedal, but for $15.99 you are getting a tremendous value and it sounds very good. I was so impressed with these inexpensive pedals I now own 4 or 5 of them. As a hobbyist guitar player who does not want to invest hundreds of dollars into multiple effects pedals- I am into 4 or 5 of them PLUS associated cables and a power adapter for about the same amount than I could buy ONE Boss or other high quality pedal for.I would also recommend buying the Danelectrode 9V power adapter if you use multiple pedals. You can also buy a 5 gang power cable and daisy chain up to 4 or 5 pedals from the same power supply to make your own pedal board. If you have multiple Danelectro pedals it is a clean way to tie them together. I also bought some short 6 inch instrument cables and daisy chained the pedal inputs/outputs together so I can have mixed effects, or have each one independently. These pedals have been used almost daily for a couple of months now and I have not had one issue with any to date. A few other guitar player friends that have tried mine out are also very impressed by them. Absolutely a 5 star value!

Totally decent
I just bought this pedal and I am really impressed by it. I was apprehensive about buying it at first because of the low price (you almost always get what you pay for), and because of the fact that it is made primarily from plastic. Because of some strong recommendations of some other Danelectro products from a good friend, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm really glad I did. I am just a hobbyist, so I can't really justify spending a ton on something like an effects pedal, but at the same time, I wanted something that would provide some other sonic possibilities for me than just my little Fender amp alone can provide. This pedal does exactly that. The pedal is made from plastic, but it is surprisingly hefty. I feel pretty confident that I don't have to baby around with it for fear of breaking it. The light on the face of it is nice and bright, and does a nice job of letting you know that the unit is powered on. Even in the darkest of environments, there is no question that this pedal is active/inactive. The knobs have a nice, positive feel to them, and you can hear the difference when they are adjusted, as opposed to some other pedals that I have tried in which the knobs seem to be non-functioning. I would describe the sound as a generic, basic chorus effect. Somewhere between the built-in effect on a combo and a middle of the road chorus pedal. I have some experience with built in effects on various amp models, and I've always found them to be lame. This is much nicer than any of those. There are plenty of other Danelectro effects available, and I will be getting some of them as well.

Not bad for something so inexpensive.
Hard to believe they can produce something like this at this price-level, (no matter where it was made),.Pro's; Bargain for those needing a usable chorus. Decent sound. Case heavy enough not to slide around.Cons; plastic case, (seems heavy enough though and good enough to last a long time ), Plastic knobs and plastic thumb screw for bottom cover, (please change it to metal dano - I'll explain why below in conclusion),. Blue led sure is overly bright in our opinion. Sound; isn't the best or worst - but very usable and versatile. Conclusion; I have another chorus but needed a second for a different setup. Didn't want to spend much. I'm happy with the dano. It does the job well enough indeed. The sound is not as 3d as some of the more costly others, (if that makes sense),. Yes, it does all the different various kinds of chorus but they're a tad flat, (don't get mad at me - just another guy's opinion),. I'd chose something else for recording if the chorus was a key element and I was being picky, (again - hope that makes sense),.I put a battery in it, placed my foot on the switch, (maybe a speck too hard?), and a very loud cracking sound occurred. I thought, uh-oh, I broke the case first try,...or the pc switch board inside. All was o-k. Apparently, it's easy to miss the small grove for the bottom plate. If using batteries, care must be taken replacing it - at least on mine. I put pressure on the device and the base plate must have snapped extremely hard into place. That made me worry about the the plastic thumb screw holding the bottom plate on. Don't want to strip-it.Would I buy it again? Yup! Love danelectro stuff. Just giving user feedback is all. And, since I love danelectro; the family knows well that I want one of the axes for Christmas.! I made sure of it, lol.Cheers.

Solid chorus for cheap
This pedal is worth every penny, and it didn't cost that many of them. I expect basically 3 sounds from any chorus:- That thick, warbly Andy Summers tone (low speed, high depth)- Subtle doubling (low speed, low depth)- A passable rotovibe/leslie impersonation (low depth, high speed)This pedal does all 3 just fine and only cost me 13 bucks. There are only two concerns with it:- There is a significant volume boost when the effect is enabled, and no way to adjust for it. Could be a problem in a live setting.- The battery cover is held on by a metal screw in a plastic threaded post. I can't help feeling those plastic threads are going to strip out eventually. If you're not planning to use batteries this probably isn't an issue.I have used it both with guitar and bass and did not notice any tonal degradation with either one. Lows and highs seem to be preserved. Despite being plastic, the case feels really solid. You'd have to be pretty violent with this thing to break it.

Buen efecto.
Un pedal sencillo y barato, pero aparentemente resistente y con un efecto de chorus bastante bonito. Si no se quiere gastar mucho dinero en un efecto que quizá use poco, este pedal es un acierto.

Fab! For sure! You go, girl!
Danelectro! My first foray into the world of cleverly cheap pedals from that brand. And?Well guess! No! You won't have to!I am gonna tell you that there is no way is hell that you will regret the measly amount of money paid for it! Why?Because it is just well enough good to enjoy and feel like the plastic made effect box shouldn't in no case be a reason for skipping this purchase. Not only the plastic is thick and really sturdy but the knobs are steady too. A very stable anti slipping base is also a plus. As well the foot switch is responsive without being able to miss it ever.Smooth enough to switch it barefoot, ah aha! Now, you either like its design or not but I do.All those considerations aside. I was attracted by its sound. Yes, enough that this was most of all the main reason to buy it.Because, the cover is only cover deep and this chorus gives me a feeling. The one of those 80's ones that made me want to buy at the time my first Boss Chorus pedal. At the time, quite a bunch for me.So, if you care less about brand and price, and stay focus on music, you may enjoy this one!I do!Cheers! M.

Better than expected, yet not for me
For the price, go for it: classic chorus sound. Still, maybe because of the chip (dunno really), it is not as tweakable as I expected (I was looking for a tone with more accent on mids and highs). A really nice pedal though, and forget about the plastic enclosure, that thing can break your nose.
