Cute sneaker with support
I’m tired of wearing my workout shoes whenever we travel or go into the city for a few days. But if I don’t and wear my cute Keds instead, I pay with increasing foot pain and very swollen feet. These shoes while super cute feel very different right away. They run small so size up 1/2 size, and if your arches are high you’ll need to loosen the laces. The footbed has very good arch support. I added heel pads because slight elevation helps minimize my swelling, and the footbed does feel a little hard at first. They feel a little heavier than the cute little sneaks I usually wear, but I got used to it quickly.I walked around the county fair all afternoon and logged roughly 300% more steps than usual. No swelling or pain! They are a stiffer shoe than I’m used to so I took them off for the car ride home, but my feet weren’t sore. I just need to get used to it. Also love that they don’t slip around on my feet at all, they’re firmly in place.Overall love these and will buy in other colors. Totally worth the price.

Absolutely my favorite shoe ever!
These shoes are the best casual sneaker I’ve ever owned! They are lightweight but sturdy, extremely comfortable with an excellent liner. I normally wear a size 9 and they are true to size. The soles are slip resistant. They are a bit on the pricey side but the quality is a great value for the money. Well worth the investment because you can remove the sole, wash and air dry so you get long time wear!

First time with these shoes. LOVE them. I didn't know I could have this style with support.
These are awesome shoes. I came across them looking for a sneaker that wasn't a work out shoe but that had support in them. The cute little white or colored shoes don't normally work for me because not enough support. I tried them on at a shoe store. Not a shoe warehouse. This was an actual shoe store. They only had a size 10 which is the size I wear. It felt a bit snug. I looked it up the company online. Then found them on Amazon. Amazon was offering free returns on the shoe I chose. I didn't have anything to lose.I went up a whole size even though the website said most people preferred just a 1/2 size up.I received the shoe. Put it on and it felt great. I had to loosen up the laces a little because the shoe felt snug. Once I got my foot in and walked around the shoe loosened up.I wore these shoes out walking at an outdoor mall, the very next day after I received them. The shoe felt like I have always had them. These are the most comfortable out of the box shoes I have ever owned. The insole is molded and gives support. The insert is removable. I love the way it feels on my feet. I had no new shoe pain in my feet wearing them out as soon as I got them.Sizing: I wish I would have ordered a 1/2 size smaller. This fits with what the website suggested. The 11 on my size 10/10.5 foot is a little big. Whereas the size 10 was a little snug. The 11 is still very wearable for me and since I wore them out, they are mine so it works!

Great value.
TAOS continues to be one of the best quality shoes out there. This style looks great. The support is very good. This one runs a little bit narrow and takes a bit longer to break in. The canvas is quite stiff. But, once they soften up it is a shoe you can wear comfortably for the day.

True to size, class design, comfortable fit for shapely feet
One of the shoe's front-toe area (the white rubber) is dented/not really factory perfect-- which is what I assume most Amazon sold products is: the B grade stock. Seeing as these shoes are on sale atm it's not really worth the return. I dont think people realize most products on here are most likely B grade stock, you get what you pay for. With that all said and done, I own another pair of tan/cloth Star Burst Taos shoes and loved the fact it was the only shoe I've found (at a salvation army no less) that could actually comfort and shape to my feet. I'm in my 20's, yet I have easy to displease crazy high arches, long toes, and a wide footbed... this is the first pair of shoes that legitimately feels comfortable and all day. Shoes seem to be made for everyone else but me.The shoes are true to size... I was worried and grabbed a Size 8 when I'm normally (depending on the brand) a 6.5-7.5. I normally hedge my bets with a 7.5, but being that this is online and amazon, I chose 8 in case... dont. Go with your true size. Even though they're too large, they'll be great with woolen socks come autumn, not worth the return because they're both slightly large in length and footbed area-- which is super nice if I want to wear thick socks: no angry side rubbing! As for looks, the wool is actually very, very nice. I have the dark grey with dark brown leather and it looks class. I have a lot of suede, cotton, and woven cloth fibered shoes, but I am absolutely loving this woolen texture. Especially given suede is a b**** to deal with even tho I love textured shoes. If you're looking for a pair of shoes to fit shapely feet, a nice, comfortable everyday vibed design, with unique fabric, these shoes are a star choice. (: (My other pair of Star Burst's have lasted longer than any other comparative designed shoe: think converse, keds, roxy, toms, etc.)

Well made with an odd fit
I have a deep love for Taos boots and sandals, so I decided to give these sneakers a try for fall. I was impressed with their quality out of the box - they are well constructed with quality fabric and soles; I have no doubt they would last for a long time. They have the true arch support and comfort insoles I've grown accustomed to with Taos shoes. However, the fit just didn't work for me. They were on the short side for my size, yet the back of the shoe (around the ankle) was loose and flopped up and down when I walked in them. The toe box fit but the placement of the seam was uncomfortable and pressed across my foot in an odd place. I would describe the fit/style to be the same as a Converse sneaker, which also do not work for me. I'd hoped with them being a Taos shoe the features would allow for a better fit than other sneakers I've tried, but apparently this style just isn't met for every foot, regardless of who makes it.
