Fits a 2001 Chevy Tahoe
This set is for the crank that moves your spare tire up and down under the vehicle. This works great for a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. It comes nicely packaged in a vinyl case with individual pockets for each different tool. The tools fit together easily and the crank can also be used to remove the lug nuts on your tire. I've never had a flat tire in this vehicle yet, but at least now if I do, I'm prepared.

Great price for the tools you need
I can get my spare tire up and down now 100% the right one for a 99 Chevy Silverado 1500.It's simple I bought the 99 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 it has no Jack and no tire tools the tire tools work 100% correctly

Great OEM Replacement
These jack tools are the perfect replacement for the original equipment. Fit perfectly in the tool carrier beneath the rear seat.

Fails to Function When Tightening the Spare Hoist Cable
I tried to use it one time and now it is useless. The instructions require that you crank the spare up and tighten the hoist until you hear two "clicks". I never made it to the two "clicks" as the very soft metal used for the extension bar bent outward and the extension bar started spinning around on the hoist connector without completing the tightening of the cable. Once that happened, the tool would not engage the hoist connector at all (either to wind/tighten the cable or unwind/loosen the cable), it just spins around now. Luckily, this all happened in my driveway while doing annual maintenance on the spare tire hoist and rim. If this had happened on the road while trying to change a real flat, I would have been stranded (To be fair, it would have "mostly worked" for one remove the spare / replace the spare usage cycle since it didn't bend/fail until the spare was remounted on the cable and I attempted to tighten it back up. I say "mostly worked" because the failure left me with a spare that was in place but not properly tightened up against the frame). I bought tool this based on the price (it's less than 50% of the cost of the GM OEM toolkit), so this is truly a case of "you get what you pay for".

The end piece metal IS soft!
Just put this to the test having read other reviews. It IS soft metal and the end (to raise and lower tire) DOES round out if your not careful. I was able to lower the tire and raise it again to full height. However, I had to re-shape the end a couple of times to keep it able to get proper grip. To be fair, my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 work truck is going on eight years old and, having bought it used, I have no idea if the spare has EVER been lowered. It is possible the mechanism is a bit rusty and with some care (or possible replacement) might move without resistance and reduce the rounding. All that said it would be nice to have an end made of MUCH stronger metal. GMC/Chevy sells one for twice the price BUT looks exactly like this one. Don’t know if it works better. IF it does it would definitely be worth the additional cash.

Stripped out first use
Square end rounded off first use and doesn’t work. Couldn’t get the spare all the way up before rounding off and now useless
