Hi and thanks for asking! The body of the pen barrel separates from the tip by twisting, however, it is reverse threaded, so instead of turning counterclockwise, you should twist clockwise. Then just fill the barrel with water and screw the top back on! Thanks! - ArtShip Design

The 50 Bonus Pack is a combination of 48 different colors of watercolor brush pens (really nylon fiber brush tip pens with watercolor paint already in the pens) with 2 next-generation water brushes. One water brush is a medium round tip shape and the other is a medium flat tip shape. The water brushes unscrew so you can fill them with water and then use them with the watercolor brush pens or any watercolor medium to add water effects (some will even fill them with liquid watercolor paint).
