Playlist: The Very Best of Orleans one way

I bought this CD for a friend. She actually knows the wife of the band’s leader, John Hall, but mentioned that she didn’t own any of their music. I fixed that with this CD. She loves it!!

I lived in New Orleans & appreciate the group's style.

Great product and shipping

The CD sound quality is ok I just wish I would have paid attention to the reviews and known this was a live recording and not the original studio recordings.

...so, me being the hardcore Orleans fan (and friend) that I am, let me say that the title of this release is somewhat misleading...and actually needs to be more like "Orleans... Live Tracks from Today", or something similar. What this is is just that...live recordings of all the memorable Orleans tunes from the now 48 year run, performed by the nearly current lineup. (New drummer Brady Spencer was not yet on board) This is the only available recording of what has been the touring band for the last 10 or more years, and the only Orleans offering featuring now long time front man (Dennis) "Fly" Amero, who has been in and out of the band for about 40 years. Founding members John Hall and Lance Hoppen remain, along with Lances brother Lane Hoppen, and Charlie Morgan (ex Elton John) on drums. I have seen this band more times than I can count, and I must say that this is a very impressive result. The band sounds slightly different than the original lineup of course, but surely they have stepped up to the plate and shown that they can deliver a live performance proving that they are "Still The One".

Great live renditions of some of the best music ever made! Dance With Me is one of my top 10 favorite songs all time!

Orleans è stata costituita a Woodstock, New York nel gennaio 1972 dal cantante / chitarrista / compositore John Hall , cantante / chitarrista / tastierista Larry Hoppene il batterista / percussionista Wells Kelly. Nell'ottobre di quell'anno, il gruppo si espanse per includere il fratello minore di Larry, Lance, al basso. オーリアンズのDNAは残っています。がどうにも新しいギタリストのギターと声が(うまいのですが)今までのオーリアンズのキャラとちがって荒く、なじめない。1曲ジョンがスライドのソロを弾いていますが、？？？というプレイ。思いと感性は人それぞれですが、個人的な所感です。
