GAMMA2 Gamma Seal Lid - Pet Food Storage Container Lids - Fits 3.5, 5, 6, & 7 Gallon Buckets, Black, Made in USA

I use these lids on 5 gallon buckets of food that are in the garage. Prior to the discovering of these lovely lids I mostly stored food I rarely accessed in the buckets. The buckets help protect the food from pests but the lids are such a pain to pry off that I avoided opening them if at all possible as I value my fingernails.... !And then a kind friend introduced me to these lids. The seal comes in two pieces. You push the outer rim over the rim of your bucket, and the inner portion screws right in with a few twists. Gamma also has a version with a "pour spot" instead of an entire lid that comes off. I don't find it super useful because a 5 gallon bucket is unwieldy to lift and pour with, but I do love this fully open seal lid style. You still get a super tight seal, but the container is simple to open. Now I use these buckets for cat food, big bags of bulk pasta, flour, rice, a storage place for chocolate chips, you name it - if it can go in a bucket I'm happy to put it there. :)Tip - I get a lot of my buckets from a local donut shop. They sell them for super cheap and always have tons of them because syrup/frosting comes in them!

This was the third time I've purchased these. They are on my surf fishing bucket, wood pellet bucket, and dog food bucket. Cheaper than buying them locally at Lowe's, works great! If I need another one I'll be more than happy to buy another. These go on easily and you can easily open the lid one-handed, beats the heck out of opening it both hands like an original five-gallon bucket, especially if your hands are cold.

Definitely fits onto a 5 gallon bucket and does what its supposed to. Much more comfort to open than a typical snap lid. Getting the ring onto the bucket did require the use of a board overtop of the ring then use a hammer onto the board to get it on. Once this thing is on, its not coming off. The twist top screws on with ease, and makes a great seal. However if you twist the top on tightly, it does take some effort to get it off. Overall though, much nicer than a snap lid. Just make sure its on a bucket you plan on keeping for awhile.

I ordered the Gamma2 Seal Lid to use with an orange 5 gallon bucket from Home supply. The fit is perfect for the snap ring part, and the screw lid does not bind when screwing or unscrewing. I will be using this to transport 12 pounds of charcoal briquettes in our camper, a lot less messier than using the paper bag. Great product at a great price!

Great for farmsteads! Very easy to use and durable. We have 4H pigs and have a rotation of different feeds/supplements we use and these were great to put on a 5-gal bucket and keep the critters out and the feed fresh! Was also handy to take to and from shows!
