RiccarSupraLite Belts

I misunderstood the description and thought these were going to be genuine Riccar parts but they weren’t. Genuine belts say Made in USA on the outside of them as I learned from watching a video about how to install the belt. They were really hard to install because we had to pull so hard to get them on. We almost gave up but finally my husband and I prevailed. I did now order the genuine belts from Amazon. They cost about double but I hope they were be easier to install.

Thanks to COVID, the local vacuum place is now closed. What to do??? Amazon to the rescue!These belts fit perfectly and work well! Great price for two belts!

These Riccar SupraLite Belts are fine quality and much less expen$ive than going to the vacuum repair place or the store. Any of these vacuums can immediately burn and break the belt when you make a mistake of switching from "smooth floor" to "carpet" while it's running, or if you leave the lever partway in between the two positions, so usually that's not the fault of the belt or the machine, but just that it ran without being securely in one position or the other. I do that sometimes, ouch, but it's not bad if you have a spare belt handy. These are fine, and inexpensive, and I will buy them again, and I recommend them. -- Incidentally, these old Riccar vacuums are wonderful; they are very high quality and solidly built, and were originally quite pricey, but I got mine at thrift shops for next to nothing. If you see one like that, grab it. --

Seemed to work fine. I figured out that the fan belt was actually broken vs. my belt.

Ordered 4 belts but needed only three. First belt failed withing a week. It stretched and wouldn't drive the roller. Replaced the belt again and all is good now. Not sure why the first one failed.

I’ve ordered these in the past and they’ve been great quality. My last order was very poor quality. The belts are much thinner and one already had a crease in it. The first one installed lasted 3 vacuums of 400 sq feet of carpet before it burned and broke. Just installed the second one so we’ll see how long that one lasts. I won’t order these again.
