Pretty good jacket
I'm just a household cook, but I wanted a chef's jacket to keep splatters off my clothes. This jacket pretty much fills the bill. I'm a men's small shirt, and the small size jacket was the right size for me. It fits easily over an ordinary shirt, and I also wear it over a shirt and sweater. It fits over those as well, but a big more snuggly. The 3/4 length sleeves works fine for me. The jacket washes well and did not shrink. What's not great? The covered buttons are a pain. They might look better, but I don't care about looks. It's a mild pain to have to squeeze the button through the button hole. I thought this would get easier over time, but that hasn't been the case.I would be happier if there were a pocket or two on the jacket (other than the thermometer pocket, which I don't find useful). Not a big deal, however.

Dress the part!
The fabric is slightly thinner than expected, and it’s polyester blend. But it looks fantastic and the fit is very nice. What really impressed me about the company is that I purchased blue first, didn’t like the color and exchanged it for the white one, and the turnaround time was one day. Excellent. I am very pleased with the overall fit.

Used this jacket for the first time and it was a life saver! Short sleeve coat are not practical for my tight kitchen, the 3/4 sleeve looks neat and professional as well as enough protection if you brush up against a hot oven. We have had some hot days this week and its been really difficult coping with the heat and weight of of my coat. Today was the first day this week I did not feel faint despite the 90 degree day and my scorching kitchen. Definitely buying another one for the summer.

I'm A Women Who Prefer Men's Chef Coats - This Is A jacket Worth A Wear!
I like to be comfortable when cooking. (A size small is too small and a large is too large - always a dilemma for me)I'm sure the measurements are just about right for those who are looking for something fitted and that fits their description. I'm 5'2, the coat length covers my behind. It sits somewhere where my side pockets are. It's roomy, very light and comfortable. I LOVE the arm sleeve lengths. I didn't like the fact that hair clings to it, can be REALLY annoying since I'm a clean & neat freak. Over time, I noticed less hair clinging. I wish the jacket wasn't so pricey either.

My favorite chef's coat
Sure a white coat can be bleached, but I'm working in food, not dye. Why shirk style and color when you can have some fun with it? Now granted, if you are working over lots of flame, this may not be your top choice because it's not a really heavy cotton--the point of that being if you catch fire, you can avoid burns. So for me, being in a hot kitchen, without always being over flame (I work with huge batches in huge kettles in a commercial kitchen) I want a lighter coat to keep me cool, but because I also have client meetings, I like one that has some spunk to it.If you wear a medium I would suggest a small. Like most chef coats, this one runs large. The color is fantastic and fun and I love the 3/4 sleeves.

Better than an apron!
I'm not a chef. I'm just a home cook that got tired of ruining prefectly good shirts with oily stains and splashes. I used to wear a bib front apron but I still would get little splash stains where my apron didn't cover. This jacket gives me complete coverage. I'm a plus-sized woman so I bought the 3X to make sure it would be big enough to button (I usually wear 3X shirts and this fits a little loose). I also bought the 3/4 sleeves (which fit me right at my wrists) because I'm only 5ft 3in tall and regular length sleeves would have been way too long.I liked this so much that the day after it arrived, I bought another one (this time in merlot). Highly recommended.UPDATE:Yesterday my husband remarked how big this jacket was on me. Well, I have been on a diet but I didn't think I'd lost that much weight so I took a closer look in the mirror. After further inspection, I'm sure I could have easily fit into the 2X (and maybe even the 1X). I still love the jacket and I don't think it looks that big on me but if fit matters to you and you usually wear a 3X in women's tops then you might want to order the 2X instead. And if Amazon offers free returns, then you can't go wrong either way.

Outstanding coat for chefs or home culinary enthusiasts
These are awesome - perfect for the heat. Very well made but not heavy. I own two of these and have had one for over two years - it takes what I dish out. The 3/4 sleeve is terrific as I hate sleeve cuffs in my way. I wear XXL with a 50" chest measurement and they fit very well - some reviews say they run large but I cannot confirm. The colors are true, do not fade or bleed. Strongly recommend for hot kitchens or summer months.

Protects you from splatters.
This coat the sleeves are perfect. My other coats the sleeves were too long and had to roll up. If your not careful you can catch the the pot handles on the rolled up sleeve and dinner is on the floor. This is a beautiful style coat. The fabric is is great. Very nice coat for cooking.

Comfortable & very beautiful!
I'm a heavy man. I was nervous that if I bought the 2xl it would be too snug.It turned out perfect! Not only is this jacket functional, cool & comfortable but it's really great looking! A kitchen must have & I would recommend grabbing yourself a couple of these!

Use the chart and fit very well
I am 5'-11" and 175lbs. My normal size is L. But the size chart of this suggest me a M size so I go with M. It fit perfectly on me.

it shows every little stain, it may be good for someone doing a dinner party at home or maybe if you change into this jacket before greeting guests in the dinning room, but for someone who is doing professional chef work in a busy kitchen.... don't waste your money. buy black instead!
