This is totally the best after market (Kawasaki) engine drain plug with a hose , fits perfectly, for use on Kawasaki Fx801 engine 25 hp. The oem john deere drain plug is plastic and leaks , which is a problem when you put alot of hours on your mower. You can easy forget to put oil in your engine because of them oem plastic drain plug leaking and could cause a locked up engine which will be bad , but now I have zero 0 worries now that I installed this drain plug.

No more messy oil changes
Retrofit on a Gravely 144Z zero-turn with a Kawasaki FH-500V. The original Kaw drain valve is really a poor design and leaks/breaks over time. This Drainzit was the perfect repair and solved the leakage issue. I had to pull the engine for cleaning purposes but you could just loosen the mounting bolts enough to unscrew the OEM drain valve and thread in the new Drainzit hose. Be sure to use sealant tape on the threads and tighten the male end enough. If you're changing this valve, you're smart enough to know when something is tight enough and not over-tightened. I routed the hose through one of the holes in the frame and installed a grommet on the hole opening to prevent cuts or nicks in the rubber hose. Good quality part and purchasing on Amazon made it easy.

It does fit a Kawasaki FR motor
There have been prior reviews that claimed that it does not fit a Kawasaki FR motor. Originally, that was true, but Drainzit has redesigned the 1420K so that it is now compatible. They gladly replaced mine and the new design works great.

Should have done this years ago
Oil changes in the mower are now simple, fast and clean. No more oil to clean up all over the mower frame or missing the drain pan as you try to Jicky things around and not spill. I removed the drain plug and quickly screwed this hose in to my John Deere Kawasaki motor and then proceeded with the oil change.

Perfect fit
This item replaced the plastic drain plug on a Kawasaki FR730V. I could not stop from leaking oil.i broke off the tee and replaced with this hose. No leaks. Very good quality item.
