Mr Stanley's Handbroken Fudge – Honey & Sea Salt Fudge, 150g

This is a very small box, which is only half filled with fudge. It looks more than it is because it has been broken into haphazard pieces and so occupies more space than its weight would normally require. Even so, it is a bit disappointing to open an impressive box to find it less than half full.The fudge itself is immediately sweet, which is hardly surprising given the largest ingredient is sugar, followed by sweetened condensed milk (more sugar); glucose syrup and golden syrup are the fourth and fifth ingredients, followed by fondant (glucose syrup and sugar). It won’t come as too much of a surprise to be informed that this small box of 150g fudge therefore contains a whopping 663 calories. You will be lucky to get more than six chunks of fudge (plus some crumbs), so each morsel of fudge is likely to set your diet back by over 100 calories. Ouch!The texture is granulated and sugary (no real surprise there) and it does have a home made feel and look, thanks to those irregular chucks, all set off nicely by the stylish box. But the box is unlikely to be useful for very much after the fudge is consumed, attractive though it is. I wouldn’t get this as a gift for more than one person, two if giving something else as well, nice though the fudge is as it is only a small treat of (probably) six pieces of fudge at best (and pricy to boot).

Although it was delicious there was not enough in the box for the price

Very nice taste, great box, but unfortunately at £10.99 for 150 g, you can buy Waitrose own branded clotted cream fudge for £3.00.So unless the box is worth £8.00 its a complete rip off at £10.99Very disappointed, but I bought it in good faith that I was buying through amazon, but I have been well and truly had here.

The order arrived exactly when predicted, the packaging is very nicely done and makes a nice keepsake box. It could be redecorated or painted but honestly the box looks very nice the way it is. I bought this and a box of sea salted fudge, both tasted so good. The only downside was I didn’t feel like there was much fudge in the package. When I opened the box and took out the bag of fudge inside, the bag contained maybe a half dozen pieces. The box itself was maybe 1/3 full and for the price I was expecting more fudge. So in the end I felt like I was paying for the box and the fudge was simply my ‘bonus’ prize. So 5 stars for flavour and packaging but only 1 for value

Very small box.9 pieces of fudge inside ( i counted ) for £10 i expect more an bigger its a really small box bought as present for partner and felt embarrassed to give it him as present so had to buy something else on top of these.

This fudge was more like tablet. Tasted okay but was quite hard and not at all melt in your mouth

loved it but too little in the box but it was delicious.
