very good. i love itโs
She Ell is a genius young 18 year old woman. She has very good eye hand coordination and when she is in the โzoneโ super fast. In this book she is kidnapped twice, has two maybe boyfriends and makes $210 million dollars for her communication device she developed. A very great book. But I didnโt like the bad language. It doesnโt have much but still too much for me

weaker not smarter
This was a let down after the first book. The setting was less interesting and the side characters were worse. The antagonists were less interesting and much less vicious or interesting. Proving some dumb science problem just isnโt that good. The ML in the last book was much better as there was less of it and Phil was more compelling than useless Roger.

Enjoy yourself with Ellen and Ellen.
University life can enrich your life and be the hardest experience short of war. Undergraduate and graduate, military and civilian all have challenges and I found them fun to read.

Wonderful story. Author is a cheat.
Right, I absolutely *loved* the story. I felt cheated that I paid real-book prices for a novella. 260 to 270 pages! That's half a normal book. Yet, it costs me $12 for each book (text & audio). Many minor authors sell books for this kind of price, but they are actual books, not overblown comic books, or novellas, or whatever you call a 261-page booklet.Besides that, Ell is to die for! I just love her, every moment. That's part of what makes me mind the short story format. Right when I'm expecting her to conquer the next evil person, overcome the next obstacle, she just quits. In the case of Book 2, she kisses her mom and leaves all the big threads unresolved. The absence of a denouement means nothing is resolved about the boys, the evil kidnappers, the success (or not) of her commercial venture, the divorce, the autistic Johnson, her new disguise, and much more. Sort of like if you had a real book, say 450 pages and you just casually lopped it off at the 261-page mark, discarded pages 262-450, and sold the 261 pages as a "book".Since the author keeps cranking out books, he clearly is not out of ideas. I believe he is willfully engaging in what almost amounts to unethical marketing. True, we know going in what we're getting - a novella at a book price - but it seems an ill gesture for him to offer this product in that manner. And then not even close the story. In summary, if you, like me, are willing to keep buying his miniature books despite this sneaky sales approach, then you will, like me, be thrilled and engaged by every page. I can hardly think of two more authors out of the hundreds I've read that are so fun to read.--Eben Visher in California

Nicely written feel good story.
Well written and entertaining story hampered somewhat by a naive premise that the Air Force, NSA and uncountable other agencies would allow the young heroine to ever see the the outside of a laboratory or think tank without a cadre of armed bodyguards.

Smarter (ELL Donsaii story #2)
Fantastic book! This author has way about using real science and a small but significant stop beyond to draw me into another read that mesmerizes me to the point where I can barely put it down. I love these stories and am headed on to the next story until I run through the entire series. After that I am going back to his other series that I have read to see if he has added another book to them. I will probably spend the rest of this year going through his stories. I recommend this book to everyone, just highly stress that you start with book 1 of each series. I read about 2 books a week since I am retired and have time. These also keep my brain in gear and healthy. I even read these while I am on my reclined exercise bike and while I am eating alone. Go for it!

Once you start you are going to need to read them all.
I will do this review, to cover all of the 10 Ell Donsaii books (to date). I received the first one as a freebie and have been hooked since then and devoured these at about a book a day! For me, the concept of the books are excellent, albeit they are written to a formula, with basically the same 'things' happening in each story, just told differently and brought into that books 'plot' in a seamless manner. The physics seems quiet believable and the Author has done a superb job of juggling the inventions and the tech behind these inventions, in a logical manner and keeping to a good timeline, so each book unfolds new devices and concepts. The 'love' interest is kept minimal (and it needs to be, as Ell vacillates something awfully between boyfriends), yet again, somehow it all works together.I must also say, the editing has been superb and the Author takes the trouble to acknowledge the editing staff in each book. I have yet to find one typo (in 10 books) or one concept in the story that jars out of place. No mean feat, where many e-books have typos per page as the norm! The one 'danger' (from my wallets point of view anyway), is how is this all going to end!! Already the contacts in Tau Ceti seem to have been forgotten, yet a whole book was dedicated to them and begs for a continuation. So in summary, this is lightweight, enjoyable reading, of a SciFi nature but with modern twists and semi-logical concepts.Thoroughly recommended for the whole series.

Fun read
If you enjoy having a heroine of the story have a heart, but still be tough as nails but not over-done, Ell will suck you into her life and give you a ride for your money and leave you wanting to know where the next chapter of her life begins.

Fantastic series - a good fast paced read
This series is interesting fast paced, exciting, shamelessly escapist literature, which I R enjoyed, so much so, that I read it twice

Smart, quick, good, so what if abit too sweet?
Outstanding and getting better. The formula may have something in common, book-to-book but the detail, execution law, commerce and science are all individual, original, provking and absolutely terrific. A great (quick read). It is targettted at a younger audience and teens ought to be inspired. My 12 year old though it 'Too good to be true' but while that;s fair, there's so much more to it. The values and morals are universal and healthy, the baddies and goodies clear, the application of the science REALLY interesting. Sci-Fi yes but clever, credible and near-future/ close to real. This is a classic. I expect a manga, anime or other medium producer will be interested one day... hope it's soon! It really is good enough to go a lot more popular than it has yet...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Incredibly good!!!!!!
Improbable but not impossible--birds have already done it. Great plot, even better characters. Hard SciFi at its best. I can't really imagine SciFi fans not liking it.
