Good unit for under $100
Stopped using smart phone a couple of months ago. Bought this as a replacement navigation tool. So far the unit is accurate in my area. Will test on a longer road trip in a week. The screen is large and very clear. Also nice that the unit can play mp3 files and eBooks. I would recommend the unit if looking for a GPS unit under $100.

Cheaper but not better
I bought this GPS for my car based on the decent Amazon reviews and it was $100 cheaper than a TomTom.When it arrived, I scrolled through the various screens and noticed misspellings of words that were appearing on the screen. For instance the manufacturer misspelled 'Satellite', instead naming them "Statellites". Not just once, but in multiple locations.I was not enamored of their mount. While functional, it couldn't seem to handle the larger 7" screen without giving a little tilt to the mount. The GPS did ok on a test run from home to the office. Streets were coming up appropriately. When I took my normal exit to work instead of the suggested one, the GPS didn't compensate properly and wanted me to get back on the highway when I exited. The TomTom I eventually bought originally routed my as this one did, but when I exited, it determined my new route correctly. This GPS does NOT do turn by turn street name directions like TomTom or Garmin do. It just says highway or street. If you are fine with that then get this GPS. If you are like me and prefer street names being called out and a visual of where you should be on the highway approaching interchanges, then get the TomTom or Garmin. This GPS was returned a day after receiving it and I went and bought a TomTom Go Comfort from Bestbuy. Not because I liked the bluetooth feature, but because the store I went to improperly marked the shelf price and I got $60 off. haha!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
EDIT: Took my 2 star review down to 1. This thing is a piece of trash, malfunctions left & right, loses signal.....Takes 10+ seconds to recognize that I made a turn, gives false directions for about 10 seconds, after some turns, then just goes back to the route, squawks at you every time to go even a little bit over the speed limit, super weak charging cord (Broke within 3 weeks), ports are orientated for left side traffic.....I'm DEFINITELY spending the money & replacing this with something that actually works & is accurate. I'm off to look at Garmin & Tom Tom....Obviously, a smart phone these days is leaps & bounds better then these GPS units, but for other reasons, I don't have a smart phone. I'm sure this thing was top pf the line back in 2002....But this is 2019. It's fairly slow, clunky, doesn't re-route very easily or efficiently (wants me to take the long way to places, & I have to manually select another route). It also does not recognize a main street in my city....? It works.....But just barely. I wouldn't recommend this unit, or any of the cheaper units like it.

All in all seems to be a helpful navigation aid, but it does not think like me!!!
Overall I like this unit so far, the display is a nice size for my older eyes and the mapping seems accurate. My biggest issue is the woeful lack of instructions. I am hoping to find a source of guidance on how to do more than display a map and play music (which I do not plan to use by the way nor will I watch videos on the thing). How do I get it to recognize the MicroSD card, how do I store tracks, and how do I view these tracks? These are pertinent questions that are not addressed. As far as it not thinking like me. I have never used a gps of any kind before, however in planning a 2000 mile trip from SW MS to south central Montana I do not know the address of points in the myriad of cities and town I will pass through in order to preprogram the route. I want to be able to set it up much like google maps, start address to first town via this interstate intersection then next town/city etc etc, with the ability to use the touch screen to drag the route to the preferred path. As it is I had to "lie" that I wanted to stop at a specific McDonalds in order to have it build the route to my liking. Better option either allow gps to sync with google maps then do the routing there or optionally give access to the built in map once connected to a computer. That way one could lay out the route with a big screen, keyboard, mouse or touchpad, then save it to the gps for later use. Hoping to find a source of more complete operational instructions.

Why does it tell me to keep getting off and on the highway?
I had a few GPS units this one is easy to use and set up. The only issue I found was when I was on the Highway it would tell me to get off the exit then have me get back on the entrance at every exit, this happen on two different Highway. I would recommend this unitI wish there was a better manual to go into set up, even a down load PDF. And how do I find out about maps updates

Keep looking
This GPS is extremely hard to program. I have used it several times and there isn't much I like about it. I think they tried to install to many frills and neglected the basics. There is not warning on your turn. I missed several turns because it wasn't clear which way to go. This is bad when you are pulling a 38' RV. On my last trip I was so frustrated I almost threw it out the window. I thought at the price it would just be a good unit that would tell you how to get somewhere.

Easy to read screen!
We found the ideal SUV for my wife. It had pretty much all the features we were looking for except, GPS. To have it, we'd need to upgrade to the next model for a few more thousand. Or, we could get this GPS for under a hundred. It seemed like a no-brainer! This little unit does the trick without spending thousands for a lot of features we really didn't want.

Buyers be aware, cheap and didn't last a full 2 months
It's was an okay truckers navigation that will get you from a to b. Great for the price cheap screen graphics & slow when typing in info. I purchased this on Dec 19 2019 and here I am 2/12/20 and this navigation just started blinking on and off for bout a week but it stopped working. Power light is on but no navigation.
