The Chest Airfield sofa is a high-end inflatable, constructed of durable PVC (0.60 mm thick - the same materials as heavy duty boat towable that are made to withstand extreme speeds, weight shifts and abrasions). It can be inflated in just four minutes with the included external 400W turbo A/C pump. If the price tag on this item shocks you, please be aware, this isn't an inflatable sofa that you'd find in your teenager's bedroom.

"Seams" durable, but it has some "short comings"
The ChestAIRfield 2-person sofa was more like a large chair to me. I wouldn't call it a sofa. Regardless, you blow it up with the included and NECESSARY electric air pump and sit on it eventually. Yes, you really need a pump to blow up the 2 hefty components. The instructions (poorly written English, but no surprise) insists that you blow up and deflate both the cushion and the main body several times to allow the sofa material to fully stretch to final shape. After wrestling with the item to get it to unfold and then hunt down the position of the air valve, I connected the included pump. I had a hard time getting the pump to work with one of the required nozzles as the nozzle had a hole that vented half of what was coming out of the pump. IF you covered the hole with your finger while the pump was running, you could get the required volume in a decent amount of time. ssssssssThe material itself has the typical fresh-from-the-chemical-bin vinyl stink that was no surprise. All seams appeared to be fused properly and the material "seamed" (pun) to have some strength to it for durability. It even came with a small patch kit (hopefully you'll not need it!) Unfortunately, it was the DIMENSIONS of the product WHICH ARE STILL WRONG IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION, that did not pass the test. The fully inflated unit with the cushion in place rises to approx 14-1/2" above the floor. It is NOT 18" as specified. I would have preferred 20 or 21 as this thing squishes a bit when you sit down (more so than a regular chair). This factor along with an overly deep 26" along the cushion (front to back) made it very hard to me to use the sofa. It was just too low and you were leaning back as well. There was no way for me to easily compensate for this short coming, so I had to send it back. (NOTE: Electric Auctions / Amazon were both informed this product is not as described for the dimensions, so be careful as the description has not been updated as of 6/4/2016.)

I bought this to stage an empty house I was selling. Other agents looking at the house wanted to buy the furniture also. They didn't know it was inflatable furniture! (I also bought the chair.) They're only for show and I didn't sit on it a lot. But it held the air during the time I was showing the house.

Comfortable and holds air very well
I've use the chair about a month now and it really holds air very well. I've only added air a couple of times during the month. It has been used by big and tall individuals who said it was comfortable to sit on...with the addition of a small throw pillow for back support.
