An iPad takes acceptable photographs, and is convenient enough that it always seems to hand when a good snap is begging to be saved.But moving stuff off the Apple Cloud onto you NAS, a memory stick to share with your family, or a CD to leave with a friend - is a different story. I never understood why Apple seems so determined to hang onto MY family photographs.This device plugs into the lightning connector on your iPad - or iPhone. It's straightforward to copy the contents of your camera roll out, and then you can use its USB end to feed the photographs onto your laptop (and on to the world beyond).I know that there are other ways of getting my photos out of my Apple account. They are all far fiddlier than this (and the 32Mb is an ample capacity for what is essentially just a waystation).I'm really pleased I have this: it's among my favourite labour-saving devices.Most of my family and friends are even pleaseder:- they get to see the photos i've taken within days (not weeks).

Waste of money . I have 7000 fotos and 700 videos on my I fone 6 don’t wanna pay a subscription to iCloud so decided to purchase one of these to free up the memory on my fone.its easy to use I downloaded app then plugged memory stick in and pressed export fotos thinking happy days this is easy.anyway after about an hour of the fone saying this process is taking place once it was 100 percent complete I plugged the memory stick into a brand new laptop which I’ve bought and there was probably 75 fotos and maybe 10 videos on the memory stick.ive repeated the process 2 more times and there’s still no more pics or videos added to the memory stick and it says there’s loads of memory remaining on the stick so it could be a possibility I’m doing something wrong but I’ve been through all the options so wish I’d never bought this stick.its a shame because all the amazon reviews that a saw before I bought this product sounded great

Item doesn't perform as advertised. It does copy the photos or files but deletes the original information and mixes up all the photos/files. All appear completely disorganized and with a new date. Completely useless to store your beloved photos. If you have photos from different dates or different files/folders all will be copied as one file and one same date with no order at all.

Firstly, it wouldn’t download the photos from my phone onto the stick, consistently freezing each time. Left ‘downloading’ for over an hour, with no joy we tried again. This time, it would only transfer a selection of them before freezing. It just tells you the stick has been disconnected when it has not.To start the process afresh, we decided to delete off what what was on the USB but it wouldn’t delete them all in one go. After removing four at a time (anymore was too much) for a few tries, it gave up and just crashed from then on.We took the stick to my Mac to try and do it there but it continued to disconnect itself and when was discoverable, wouldn’t show the contents of the folder. No joy at removing it there either.For something that was meant to save time, I have wasted over two hours on this and now have a product that isn’t fit for purpose. I can’t return it either, unless I want to hand over a disc of photos of my friends and family, since it is impossible to remove them from the stick beforehand. A total waste of time and I feel like I’ve been conned out of my money. Avoid this product!

I wouldn’t recommend buying this, I thought it would be THE solution to download al the photos stored on my iPhone but instead, it just didn’t work. Only managed to use it once and then it stopped connecting and even seemed corrupted when plugging to my laptop. I’m gutted I didn’t send it back on time for a refund.

I'm new to Apple so I expect this product does as it says. It works fine with my computer. I downloaded the app for iPad but have found it hard when viewing flashdrive from iPad. The folder I had created is not visible although individual files are. The instructions in English are ok but don't go far enough for me. When attached to iPad I can't hold it comfortably in portrait as it sticks out, so it has to go landscape. Just some things to consider if you are buying this.
