THIS CUSHION IS SOFT BUT FIRM AND GORGEOUS! GREAT FOR MULTIPLE-DAY EVENTS!
I love this cushion! It's actually bigger and softer than what you can see from the photo, but it's not too big. The funky retro cover is amazing (and soft!) in real life. I tried the cushion on various chairs, and the primary aspect I noticed was that my hips and lower back felt slightly elevated and in much better alignment. I felt a distinct pressure being relieved from my lower back.Have to say: I bought the cushion specifically for a LONG film festival that I've been to five years in a row. One of the theaters used has horrible seats. I finally clued in and bought this cushion. The festival is next week. I will update this review after I see how the cushion performs over a few days of sitting in hard movie theater seats. I happen to have tix to one (separate) movie tomorrow. I will try it there first. So far, things look good because the cushion is lightweight enough for me to carry it. Also, if you're just bringing it to work, carrying it around is not a problem anyway. If you bought it to take to events, it's light. Just make sure you dedicate some carry space. It's not too big for chairs, but it will take up space in your bag.Customer service: Excellent. I received a handwritten thank you note (not reproduced or mass-copied) from the seller. In this tough economy, I really appreciate when a vendor/seller recognizes that I spent money on their products. I would buy from Bliss again just on that alone. But even without the thank you note, I LOVE this funky, beautiful, soft, comfortable cushion.Suggestion to Bliss: Make them in WAY more funky designs. If people can bring different ones to their office with everybody commenting and saying, "Ooo, that's cool. Neat design. Where'd you get it?", Bliss will sell these like hotcakes. I'm already wishing I could order three more for work, with different funky designs.Update: I attended the four-day film festival, and this cushion was FANTASTIC. I saw 15 (yes, fifteen!) movies, and by the end of the four days, it was like I hadn't seen even one movie, from a lower back, tailbone, rear-end standpoint. I was particularly pleased with how great my tailbone felt! The cut-out in the seat "cradles" in mid-air the area of your rear-end that, if you sat on it, would start to put pressure on your tailbone (although I'm not a doctor, so maybe I'm wrong!). Instead, there's no pressure there, while the rest of your rear-end is on the cushion. Over DAYS of sitting, the lack of pressure on the tailbone is very noticeable. Also, as I said in my initial review, the cushion leveled off the angle at which I was sitting, so everything felt much more aligned. I can't say enough about the difference this cushion made in my overall film festival experience!Final word: If you're going to carry this to and from an event, I still recommend (as I did above) that you bring it in some kind of bag that's big enough (regular canvas book bag type of thing), but the little cut-out in the cushion actually makes it really easy to just crook your arm through it and carry it that way. I did that for the first day of my film festival, and it was fine. I just got tired of trying to keep track of it, so I used a bag the next three days. Just meant to say that it's like enough to carry on "Game Day" if you're just going to the game and back to your car.
