Raw Unrefined Ivory Shea Butter TOP Grade From Ghana 5 lbs- SOFT

This came packaged well. It was soft and grit-free. It was ivory/beige in color just like it should be. It was perfect. I immediately cut it up with a knife and repacked it into used Shea butter jars I had been saving. And I also used a couple of freezer baggies. It made very nice, smooth and creamy Shea butter moisturizers. I had been buying prepackaged Shea butter in jars and had just gotten a jar full of grit. Yuk! This was a relief to receive and have it be so perfect for a much, much better price. Five times as much Shea butter for only seven dollars more than I paid for the prepackaged Shea butter. FIVE TIMES MORE!! It is more work and kind of messy, but I think the savings are well worth it. I would recommend wearing latex gloves so you don't get butter on everything you touch from the knife to the jars, door knobs, handles, drawers, etc... I wish I had worn latex gloves myself. I will next time! My only negative comment would be that it was disappointing that it was packed in two bags, one inside the other, both sealed and neither bag was resealable. I didn't know that when I first opened it. So right then I had to deal with it because I didn't know if it would harden or get funny if it wasn't sealed in an airtight bag or container. If I had known it wasn't in a resealable bag, I would have waited until I had a lot more time to deal with getting it in jars and freezer baggies. But still very happy with the purchase. I think it was quite a good find.

This Raw Unrefined Ivory Shea Butter from smellgood is my new go to for body butters, it may not smell good, but it sure feels good! It is exactly as described, unrefined, pure top grade and SOFT! I received a large "brick" of (soft- easily cuts with knife) ivory colored shea butter wrapped in a plastic bag, and inside a box. No frills in packaging, and that doesn't matter. What DOES matter is the quality of the item, and this is a superb product! It has an earthy aroma that is not particularly welcoming, but not offensive either, and it's very easy to disguise. I ordered a 5 pound bag, and it is almost gone already! Next order will be at the very least, 10 pounds. I love this stuff, and anyone I have given body butter to, loves it also. I mix this with raw cocoa butter, extra virgin coconut oil, vitamin E, a few bulk supplements and essential oil(s) of choice and the outcome is a creamy, soft, nourishing lotion that my skin just drinks in. It makes you feel soft all over and soothes dry winter skin like no other! It can be scented with any oil you choose, and that covers the smell, OR the shea smell adds to it. Either way it's a winner! I will be purchasing more Raw Unrefined Shea Butter from smellgood very soon, and I recommend that you do too!

I just received my shea butter and I am a first time buyer of raw shea butter. It arrived much quicker than expected and it was packaged well (packaged in plastic inside the shipping box). I purchased this to make homemade lotion and the texture is great!Based on some reviews, I did melt the butter down and used cheese cloth to strain any foreign products. As you can see from the picture, barely anything came from straining this shea butter. Only some very small particles, which look to be from the shea nut itself. No bugs or anything unusual. In fact, that's a pure fact that the shea butter is organic and raw, which is what I wanted.It does get a little messy, as should be expected. When using your hands to take it out of the plastic, expect to have it all over your hands. This was fine for me, as I was rubbing it into my skin while making my lotion lol.I made the lotion with mostly shea butter, but also added 1/4 coconut oil and 15 drops of essential oils. After the mix solidified again, I whipped it with a hand beater and it is WONDERFUL!When I run out, I will be purchasing this again from the same seller. Thank you!Quick update: I added pictures of the final product so that you can see it is not very yellow. (As a reminder, I added coconut oil and essential oils to my lotion mixture)

I use this product in a lot of my creams for my business and it adds to the softness and form of my creams so well! It will not create a white cream, but the quality is amazing. The texture is alike moon sand and cuts into pliable sections very well! Easy to use product!

First off I've never used shea butter until now so right when I got it literally I made some deoderant sticks with my coconut oil and beeswax I got from another seller on amazon this stuff is amazing I don't know why I haven't used it before. I've had a really bad problem with smell and nothing works not even commercial deoderants so I wanted to start making soap and cosmetics and body care to sell as a side line business and maybe go full time eventually. This stuff is literally amazing. It melts on contact with the skin and apparently my skin needs it really bad because it absorbed it really quickly. It smells amazing it was so potent that when I took it out of the packaging I could smell it through the plastic I love it. My mom even said I smell really good. She's normally the one who wouldn't even hug me really because my smell was so bad she'd tell me to go take a shower. She wasn't being mean or anything about it. But it got really annoying. So I deffinitly say buy this product I'll be using it to make as a face scrub after I get out of the shower.
